我在xc上預訂了該酒店，6月13日晚入住，但最終沒能睡在酒店的床上。原因竟然是前台晚上8點後就不工作了，也就是説，到了20點，酒店工作人員就下班了。你可以有理由説，酒店已明確告知預訂酒店的住客前台衹接待到晚上8點。但你有沒有想過，萬一住客晚到怎麼辦？萬一住客晚上身體不舒服或發生意外怎麼辦？難道你不可以在醒目的地方，同樣安民告示酒店工作人員離開前台時的聯繫方式、晚上8點後酒店值班人員的房間號碼？我到了酒店，尋遍工作人員可能工作的場所，沒找到一名工作人員。這家酒店地處荒野，沒有手機信號，無法聯繫平台。在不得已的情況下，斗膽敲了一間還未熄燈的住客的房間，一對澳大利亞老年夫婦主動幫我們也在酒店尋找工作人員，但毫無結果，最後我們身子在旅館，卻衹能坐在車裡熬夜，那對澳大利亞夫婦怕我們晚上受凍，特地拿了兩條毯子給我們。第二天清晨，酒店方得知情況後，安排我們吃早餐，讓我們進房間休息，可我們怎麼能休息呢？我們的行程是既定的，預訂的旅館無法更改，當天還得趕到下一個景點和住宿地。雖然酒店方為我們準備了途中的點心，我們也感受到了酒店方的歉意，但是真正的歉意是退還我們的住宿費，因為我們根本沒入住，而且是在車裡熬了一夜，一夜未能躺平、伸直雙腿的煎熬酒店方能體會到嗎？我們的遭遇，平台非常同情，多次與酒店交涉，拿到錢的酒店卻一分錢也不願吐出來，最後是xc全額退還了我們的住宿費。我覺得該酒店的所謂規定，既不人道，也不合理，還缺乏應有的補救措施。圖一，酒店地處荒野，附近幾公里範圍內，沒有人煙、沒有商店、沒有旅館。圖二，酒店距著名的死亡谷景點有一百多公里，住客若是要欣賞死亡谷的晚霞，恐怕晚上8點前趕不到酒店。圖三，死亡谷的紅色沙丘。

If Namibia had a feudal dynasty, it would be here not elegant lodge. Here is a queen named Maly, a front desk staff with an arrogant and extremely unfriendly attitude and no patience to answer customer questions. Of course, there was also a king whose name was Daniel, who worked as a tour guide. The cost of participating in the Deadvlei trip is N2,000. The price is acceptable, but he is arrogant, do not understand the customer's problems and do not know if he has not received an education. I can tell you that if you have a car you can drive by yourself for a total cost of no more than N500 including inside 4x4 shuttle car and you can also complete visiting Deavlei or even Big Daddy without any a guide. The most ironic of this elegant lodge is the only elegant sign that only entrance door sign.

We stayed her for two nights while on a tour of Namibia. The rooms are laid out in blocks of 4 and the room we had had a lovely verandah / patio area with views of the desert. Wonderful scenery, great for viewing the night sky. The bathrooms looked to have been updated and the bedroom area was very comfortable and the air conworked very well. Each block of rooms is only a short distance to the main building and eating area. You choose your evening food from a board in reception. They catered very well for me who doesn't eat fish and also for one of our party who was gluten free. There is a pool area that had lots of umbrellas and loungers, towels provided. In the afternoons they offer tea / coffee and cake which is included and was lovely and very welcome. There is also tea / coffee and a kettle in the rooms.

We really liked this stay! It's a really elegant place! A porter met us on arrival as we pulled into the car park. The reception is a warm welcome and all the communal areas really neat, nicely attended to and very modern chic. Our room was crisp and clean, was spacious and looked new. Aircon worked a treat. A nice touch was the bedtime story and little bite of nougat! The restaurant service was excellent - and the quality and value of food superb. It's a set menu for about ZAR400 (and they offered to substitute dishes if a dish not liked), but we stayed with the meal and both nights we stayed, it was great food (different menu each night) and we had a nice bottle of wine between us too. Great location to visit nearby attractions. Thoroughly recommend

It was my third time the past four year to Elegant Desert Lodge. Every time was a nice relaxed experience. It's affordable and the food is good. Room and bed and coffe station very nice. Very good hospitality and to sit inside or outside to enjoy the stars at night. Distances to travel to Sesriem not a problem. Hiking trails also a bonus. My first visit we had dinner under the stars at the tent camp, beautiful view and experience. For a Namibian it was the best value for money in the desert. Thank you, see you again

Extraordinary nice lodge with fantastic service, rooms and food. Very close to Sossusvlei, so we could go there for sunrise. You should stay at least for 2 nights!

Be careful: when you book a room at this lodge there is no guarantee that you will receive a room with view to the desert. They have quite a few rooms which do not even have a window facing the desert but only their garden instead. This is not what we signed up for and we decided to book another hotel nearby. The management of the lodge was not very understanding and did not refund. In my view this is false advertisement. The pictures for the room on booking show only the rooms with the great desert view. If you want to gamble ln a good view, book here, if you want to have a nice view guaranteed, book somewhere else. We stayed at the neighbouring Desert Homestay Lodge, which was fantastic.
