Castello Delle Serre

We spent a week at the castle and found it to be the best vacation we’ve ever had. Centrally located and authentic, super clean, quiet, outstanding food, knowledgeable people regarding the area, and best of all, Salvatore, Kaci, and Antonio who are your hosts/owners make you feel as if you were personally invited by them. What a wonderful feeling!

My husband & I stayed at this little jewel in Tuscany in October 2024. It was our "home base" as we traveled the hill country. The accommodations are unique and beautiful. Staying in a castle we were able to envelope ourselves in the history & feel of Italy, yet have lovely modern amenities. There is no doubt the place is beautiful (as long as you can handle steps) with top notch bedding, toiletries, robe & slippers, etc. They have a gorgeous pool area, multiple public rooms to relax, beverage stations and a restaurant that contribute to a guest's comfort. The restaurant serves a great breakfast, however dinner is limited to a few nights per week (though there are a couple of restaurants within walking distance.) This may be a drawback for some, however it was perfect for us since we explored many towns and preferred to try different restaurants during our day outings. This is where the best part of Castello delle Serre comes in....Kaci & Antonio (the castle owners/managers). This couple provides concierge service that is curated to your interests. Each morning they would come up with a fantastic itinerary and even make calls & reservations for us. They even seemed to anticipate our needs before we clarified them. They are excellent at what they do! They wish for you to have the most amazing experience & they share so much knowledge and time with you. I realized many people there were repeat guests & it is easy to understand why. Although in a small Tuscan town, they are the home you come back to each evening. They look out for you by reaching out to venues on your behalf, providing maps, even plugging destinations in your GPS, & then having a nice discussion when you return or during breakfast. It was a joy not to worry about planning this part of our Italian adventure & leave it to the experts! Kaci even provided a list of Rome recommendations with her goodbye hug. This is a very special place & if you are going to Tuscany/Umbria, I highly recommend it. Though you can do it yourself, it was so nice to have Kaci & Antonio there, and I look forward to visiting again.

LOVED every single minute - Amazing setting, breakfast was perfect, recommendations from Kaci & Antonio really made our trip extra enjoyable. Couldn’t recommend more. Location is perfect for access to Siena and Montepulciano. Super relaxing and extremely clean.

What an amazing experience to stay at the castle for 7 days as a base for our tour of Tuscany hosted by Salvatore. The hospitality, food, and knowledge shared was incredible. Waking up to church bells each morning opening the window and looking over this hamlet was magical. Breakfast each morning was a great start for each daily adventure. The evenings we had dinner prepared and served by Antonio and Kaci were superb. This was our best vacation EVER! We plan to return.

This is the place to go to and do the organized week-long tour with Salvatore, his son Antionio and daughter-in-law Kaci. Superb organization of the week-long tour and excellent stay at the castle. We stayed in the tower suite with our own private terrace overlooking the area. Magnificent views. We had a few dinners at the castle, excellent food and of course plenty of wine. Breakfast every morning with our group of 20 people. We did not know any of them and now we are all friends (and Facebook Friends). Sharing recipes and photographs. We did some excellent wine tasting, Montioni, De'Ricci, Tenuta di Arceno to name a few. Shipped quite a few case back home again. Received the last batch yesterday. Definitely recommended. I took a little over 2,100 photographs that week alone.

The Castello Delle Serre is a truly wonderful restored Castle in Tuscany. Beautifully renovated providing an authentic Tuscan experience. Antonio, Kaci and Salvatore were exceptional hosts helping us feel very welcome with their knowledge of the region being remarkable. I particularly enjoyed their openness and honesty in the recounting the rebuild of this magnificent Castle. I truly recommend a visit to the Castle and this beautiful region of Italy.
