We normally travel through France after our stay in Italy in the summer on our way home to UK. Our room was very comfortable, the staff helpful and the restaurant excellent. Although we try and vary our route in order to visit different places, we would definitely consider stopping in this Logis again. Familiarity with a particular place can be very reassuring!

This is our third visit to this hotel and it continues to tick all the boxes. First of all it is easy to find and there is ample parking. Check in was efficient and welcoming and our room was smart and comfortable. The hotel is probably a 20 minute walk to the town centre, which suits us perfectly, but it’s worth pointing out that, as is the nature of the town, you have a steep climb there and back. Breakfast is very good and includes the added bonus of scrambled eggs and bacon. The continental buffet is also good but, as I’ve suggested before, some fresh tomato and cucumber would be a nice option to complement the cold meat and cheese.

Hostellerie is just outside the gates of Semur en Auxois - not within walking distance for most, but certainly close enough to feel the history. Clean rooms, nice bar, great food, large and welcoming pool.. Logis hotels are always dependable and this does not disappoint.

Slightly out of town, which we prefer, this hotel overlooks Semur and has been a regular stopover as we drive en route through France. It's perfect for us. Lots of parking spaces (and it's free). The swimming pool is a good touch, and we actually arrived early enough to sit outside in September and enjoy an hour of calm by the pool, reading, in lovely sunshine! Very friendly multilingual staff, and always a pleasant smile from Reception. Breakfast is good and plentiful, with both sweet and savoury dishes on offer - and excellent cheeses! - and Iris who serves it is an absolute delight. Our only tiny criticism is that, like in many hotels nowadays, a coffee machine has been brought in and it's just not to our taste. We love the taste and smell of 'real' coffee freshly made, but I guess that's just us! Everything is really lovely and enjoyable; we do enjoy our trips to Hostellerie d'Aussois and hope to continue to stop there.

Ideal location for visiting the Burgundy area south of Auxerre. Very comfortable accommodation, excellent Air conditioning especially for the heat we experienced during out stay. Friendly and helpful staff.

Hostellerie d’Aussois is a smart, modern hotel under the Logis banner. It is situated on the main road, so is easy to find, and has plenty of parking. It also has a nice terrace and swimming pool. Check in was as friendly and charming as ever and our room clean, smart and nicely appointed. Breakfast is fine, and while we enjoyed a good fruit salad with yoghurt, and some excellent bacon and scrambled eggs, I was a tad disappointed with the selection of cold meats (ham or ham) and cheese (only two varieties). Service was of course lovely. The bottom line is that this is a very good hotel in an excellent location and it will continue to be our hotel of choice when visiting the area.
