Shocking Lack of Cleanliness – Exterior to Interior, Entire Property Neglected
My recent stay was appalling, with cleanliness standards failing at every level from the exterior entrance to shared indoor spaces. The conditions were far below acceptable, especially for the price charged. Below is a detailed account of the issues encountered:
Exterior Areas:
- The entrance was littered with debris and trash scattered across the ground, giving the impression of total neglect.
- The glass doors were smudged and dirty, making the hotel appear unwelcoming even before stepping inside.
Lobby & Elevator:
- The lobby floor was covered in dirt and debris, particularly in the corners, as if it hadn’t been swept in days.
- The elevator was a hygiene disaster: thick dust coated the walls, the carpet inside had a large, unsightly water stain, and the air felt damp and musty.
Corridors & Check-In Experience:
- During check-in, black plastic garbage bags were piled carelessly on the floor near the elevator, creating an eyesore and raising concerns about sanitation.
- The corridor floors had multiple water stains (possibly from leaking trash bags), which were left to dry without being cleaned, posing both a slipping hazard and an unpleasant odor.
Overall Impressions:
- The state of the hotel reflects a complete disregard for basic upkeep, from the stained room linens (as previously noted) to the filthy public areas. This isn’t just about comfort – it’s a health and safety issue.
- Paying a premium rate for such squalid conditions feels like a betrayal of trust. Guests deserve better than walking through garbage piles and navigating stained, dirty floors.
Final Thoughts: Avoid this hotel unless you’re willing to pay for subpar hygiene and a total lack of pride in maintenance. I will not return and urge management to address these systemic housekeeping failures immediately.
