Stayed at the TUI Blue over new year for a week of skiing. The hotel is perfectly located for the main Planai gondola, it’s right opposite and the breakfast room plus spa area has a brilliant view of the end of the black run, which makes for an entertaining view at the end of the day. Breakfast buffet was excellent, something different every day and the egg chefs were brilliant. Machine coffee was decent. The bar, reception and restaurant staff were all so friendly. There’s usually one odd member of staff but here they were all genuinely lovely. Dinner was very good although there are some slightly weird combinations for main course. Presentation and quality of the meat was excellent though. It’s buffet style which might not suite everyone but it didn’t feel like mass catering and there was never a queue. Beds were also super comfy. Spa fantastic (the sauna is outside on the roof terrace) . Heated boot room. Reasonable bar prices. Only minor negative points were: - the bar area is small, it would good if there were some proper seats to relax into at the end of the day or after food rather than just high bar stools. - dinner is two sittings, either 6.15-7.30 or 7.30-9 so if you want to eat at 7, you can’t really. But I guess that’s how the restaurant doesn’t feel crowded. - not enough hooks in the room to hang ski gear up to dry.

The location of the hotel is outstanding in itself, literally 50m from the main bubble to the slopes. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the shower a lovely wet room. The ski locker is on the floor below the restaurant with easy access to the street. Unfortunately for Schladming itself, it really misses one or two decent bars, so you find yourself in the Tui bar. And it's the bar and restaurant where this place excels. The food is ok, but for the package price with Crystal amazing - it's the staff though, they're truly superb from the moment we arrived to the night before we left as I pen this review. They are friendly morning and night, chatty, helpful and funny and I can honestly say I've not found a warmer welcome anywhere we've ski'd. The beer (Schladming Brau) is available everywhere but actually pretty good. Tui don't have the Zirbenschnapps but apricot is quite fine... Will come again, and would recommend you do too!

Fabulous hotel opposite the lifts, an ideal location. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. The buffet breakfasts and evening meals were tasty, freshly made and with plenty of choices for every taste. A lovely atmosphere in the bar area, with just the best barmaid - Anita. She couldn’t do enough for us all and her personality shines! Ivan was a great guy too. We all loved our stay, thank you.

Absolutely massive, very comfortable rooms (very surprising for a ski resort) - showers were particularly good. Perfect location directly opposite the gondola. Efficient, friendly staff. Excellent food. Great bar. Great service. I cannot fault this hotel in any way.

Superb location for ski gondola. Very large rooms, which is unusual for Austrian ski hotels, a small improvement would be bedside cabinets instead of the small shelves. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially Gabor and Anita behind the bar. Food in general was very nice, although it was all buffet, including the dinner main course. This is a modern hotel so don’t expect the traditional Austrian alpine decor however facilities were very good with a sauna, steam room and infrared cabin on the roof terrace. It also has a naked room for relaxing with wonderful views - of the Planai slopes. For skiers it also has a large boot room with integrated lockable ski racks (I have never seen this in any other ski hotel) and also boot warmer racks.

Nice atmosphere prevailing throughout the facility, delicious breakfasts and a nice atmosphere in the evening bar, the unique location that makes you want to come back here, right in front of the Planay slope. Spacious rooms, a comfortable bed, an underground garage with a ski room. I can highly recommend to anyone looking for a hotel for skiing and more

This hotel has it all. Amazing staff who always have a smile and are very helpful. Great location. If you are skiing, it is about 30 seconds walk to ski lift. Next to bars and shops. Rooms are spotless with comfy beds and lots of storage. Breakfast and dinner never failed. Cereal, eggs, sausages, bread and yoghurts. The soup at dinner was always fantastic. Safe place for skis which you can lock up. They had saunas but we didn’t use. Even if you didn’t ski this would be a great base to explore.

Just returned from a great week skiing. Hotel spotless, food really good and staff are excellent. All go above and beyond. Fabulous time had by all Location of the hotel is central to everything and the rooms were really comfortable. All in all a great time was had by all.

Absolutely brilliant service. What a team, without doubt the best in the Alps. The room is large, clean, quiet and comfortable. The hotel is clean and functional. Ski locker room is perfect. The food was good, but as a buffet wouldn’t call it great, which was the only very minor blemish. But again the staff made the trip for me - so very friendly but so efficient.
