Super 8 by Wyndham des Moines

Service was crappy took hours to check in they wouldn’t conference today when our room was nasty and dirty and it took till 1 AM to check in and they charged us $20 for a late check out. I would not recommend this motel at all but if you have to stay somewhere, there are worse things to do, then go to the super eight on Northeast 14th I would recommend going in to any other hotel. You can afford rather than the super eight on Northeast 14th.

not the best, but okay please do not show baymont rooms for the super 8 hotel. it is misleading and we assumed that we would get a decent room. instead, we were in a room where our room key was even difficult to use on the door. but, it was still a decent experience. breakfast could have been better, and the customer service was poor. there was no one there to greet us as we entered the hotel and there was no ice bucket to use. however, there were good amenities like the fridge and microwave. so overall, it was ok.

Disappointing The Super 8 was sort of hidden behind a Baymont hotel but we found it. The entrance for "Super 8 Lobby" had nobody working at the desk so we waited for several minutes until a resident told us to check in on the other side of the building. We went around the building but found no other entrance so we went to the front desk at the Baymont. Apparently that is where Super 8 guests are supposed to check in. We wanted to pay cash, but they could only accept cash if you had the exact amount so we had to use a card. The room was okay, nothing special, mattresses seemed saggy like they were maybe 20 years old. One thin blanket for the bed. Breakfast was supposed to be at 6 but as of 6:15 the door was still locked and the lights were off. I drove around to the Baymont and found a breakfast room there, but they had no coffee, no hot water for tea, no batter for the waffle maker, no fruit.... all they had was scrambled eggs and juice. A guest told me they were still trying to make coffee. So I waited 20 minutes but nobody from the staff brought coffee, waffle batter, fruit, or anything else. I inquired at the front desk and the guy there said they were busy working on the breakfast for the Super 8.... so I drove back to the breakfast room on the Super 8 side and found the door open and the lights on, however... no decaf, no hot water for tea, no juice, no fruit, no waffles, no muffins, no donuts, no eggs, nothing that was supposed to be there. That's what they called their breakfast.
