WelcomHeritage Mount Valley Resort Ranthambore

First thing first - this is not a Welcome Group Hotel but a joint venture between ITC Welcome Group and Jodhana Heritage Group. If you keep it in mind, you will be spared the disappointment I faced thinking it to be an ITC hotel. The hotel is located bang on the Ranthambore road about 5 km from the Ganesh Dham Circle Gate of Ranthambore National Park. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The attached toilets are also clean and have running hot & cold water. The complimentary wifi speed was adequate. The food and beverages spread are decent. The F&B manager, Mr. Kapil Pandey and the servers at Jharokha restaurant, like Mr. Manraj, stand out for their services. The property is advertised as a 4 star one, but it didn't feel like one. The open area around the hotel is quite small. There is one small front lawn and another one side lawn, where all outdoor activities and parties are held. We reached the hotel on the day of the Holi and there was a Holi party going on at the front lawn. The parking lot is woefully small and we had to park our car outside the hotel, ***** the hotel compound wall. The check in was uneventful. The staff at the reception didn't seem to be enthusiastic. We were provided a welcome drink after around 10 minutes of wait at the reception lounge. We were allotted rooms on the third floor and the hotel staff brought our luggage quickly. However, the rooms were somewhat disappointing. No room slippers were provided. Dental and shaving kits were missing in the toilets. The mini fridge was empty and was not working in one of the rooms. Tea and coffee kits were provided but no cookies, which are usually available in all four star properties. The rooms were not properly dusted and we could find the dust whenever we rubbed our hands on any furniture. I strongly feel that many of these shortcomings we faced were because of shortage of manpower or its training. Once we complained to the reception, the room slippers and dental kits were promptly delivered. Similarly, we found that the room servers never closed the doors once they left the room and we had to close the doors ourselves. The intercom is mostly useless because it is seldom answered. I had to personally go to the reception to get things done or get some information. Usually all good hotels have tie ups with travel agencies in tourist places. We too tried to get information from the reception if it is possible for them to book tickets for tiger safari or if they can give some information about any travel agency. The reply we got is that ticket is to be booked on line and they have no tie ups with any travel agency. Just before dinner, I went to the reception and enquired if any discount is available on foods & beverages. My enquiry was again met with indifference and I was denied any discount. Thankfully Mr. C P Thakur, the resort manager was within earshot and he stepped in to provide discount at Jharokha restaurant. After dinner, we went for a stroll and thankfully the gate

This is a really good hotel, clean and tidy with lots of friendly staff. I particularly like the film show at 6:30 with coffee and cookies. The hotel caters for the early morning safaries by providing coffee and cookies and then running a later breakfast service so well thought out. There is an outdoor pool which we did not get the chance to use. The gardens are lovely wi th colourful flowers. There is also an amazing restaurant attached which I have reviewed separately. All Staff spoke English to a certain level.

I stayed in hotel Mount Valley with my family in the first week of January. It is a good property. The check in progress was not up to mark. Out of the two deluxe rooms booked one was room was given to us @ 2 pm instead of 12 pm. We made booking 3 months in advance and asked to book room on the third floor for better view but still they provided us rooms on ground floor which was not expected from them. Size of the rooms is good. Restaurant is very good food served is also very good. I would also like to appreciate the restaurant manager Mr. Kapil Pandey. He personally comes to every table to ask if anything else is needed. They hv carrom board and chess for recreation but some more game items needs to be added. Housekeeping service is very slow which needs improvement. Overall it is a good property.

Nice hospitality specific mention of cp singh and vinod for their nice reception food quality is good you should try to take a round at the properties which has garden and in the evening their is bonfire and other cultural activities to keep you engaged

Plz don’t get fooled by the WelcomHeritage tag. It’s just a 2-3 star hotel . First thing they will ask you at the reception is the pending amount. Full all the amount in advance then only they will show you the room The room size is adequate but cleanliness is lacking. Washrooms are also not v clean. In the name of toiletries you don’t even get a dental it shaving kit. There are no views from the hotel and it’s pretty much out of the city so you always need a vehicle Food options are v limited though the staff in the dining area was polite but not professional. As far as safari is concerned we got our booking from hotel only and they booked us for zones where there are almost no sightings and charged double amount. And in the morning when we went to the reception they had no idea about our booking. Then they arranged us with some other canter after half an hour And in the noon when we were having a nap they started some repair work in near by rooms. On complaining they said that repair is necessary plz tolerate. Woww My sincere advice pls don’t choose this hotel nothing. They are just making fool in the name of WelcomHeritage

The hospitality of the entire team ( Mr CP. Singh, Mr Vinod, Mr Kan Singh, FNB Staff, Mr *** Raj and all other staff) of the resort was overwhelming. All staffs were so well behaved and welcoming. They had provided the services whenever asked very patiently and with warmth. We had a great taste of their cuisines. Thankyou for the great hospitality.
