Service - below average - young staff requiring training. Perhaps in high season the service is up to scratch and in low season the hotel is letting itself down. Food - good breakfast - tasty viennoiserie. Be aware there is no restaurant on site. Room - very much advise to get a room with a view and a balcony. Be aware such rooms are actually north facing. Bathroom could be better cleaned. Sand and webs found in corners. Facilities - Beautiful pool (the most attractive part of the hotel). Outside seating areas very untidy and gritty. Activities - Plenty of sites to see around Sartène: Megaliths de Cauria, Sentier du littoral from Tizzano, Campomoro, Propriano cafes. The town of Sartene is a bit dead in the evening (felt a little spooky in the dark). Recommended if you seek a quiet time. Cost - Not very good value for money.

Beautiful location with fantastic view on the mountains; best place to spend a week with trips to the beaches an hiking in the mountains, very nice hotel and very friendly personnel.

The grounds of this property are natural and pretty. We didn’t use the pool, but the pool environment looked very nice. We had a nice room with a small balcony with good views of the countryside and Sartène. Breakfasts were good. Two drawbacks - 1. it’s a steep walk up to the town of Sartène. 2. There is early morning road noise from the winding street below so I used ear plugs to sleep

Just arrived in the beautiful little town of Sartene, excited to visit the southern part of Corsica, we parked our car in a free spot in the hotel parking lot near a small building: near there was some discharged stuff stacked in a messy way. When we went out for dinner, a man popped out from the building we had parked near and asked us not to park in that spot because he lived there. At the check-in desk, there was a girl (who speaks barely English), with no BWH uniform or any other sign to help us identify her as a staff member. No one helped us with our luggage (the lift was broken every other day). The room was spacious, but more maintenance should be done regularly: there was mold in the bathtub, the wardrobe handle was broken and after few days when we tried to open a drawer, it fell down and no one fixed it even though we asked. The cleaning and maintenance of the common area should also be much improved. A guy, who was supposed to be the maintenance and gardener guy (not dressing uniform), was wandering around with poor results. Also the cleaner stuff. At the end of the day, we ask ”Where’s the manager?” Has the butler murdered him like in an Agatha Chiristie story?

We liked the nice view from the breakfast room and the room's balcony. Beds were comfortable and A/C worked well, so did WiFi. The staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good though not much remained 30 minutes before closure and they were unable to make fried eggs or espresso. Hotel is deep need of refurbishing because it is oldish and badly maintained: the gutters were rusty, the furniture looked outdated. Bathrooms date back from the 80s. Elevator was being repaired and didn't work most or the time. Breakfast items were missing 30 minutes before the time of closure. Parking space was always full and dangerous to access. The location of the hotel is steep climb from the city center. We had booked a twin room and were given a double room upon check-in. It took reception half an hour before figuring out they could give us a triple room with one double bed and one single bed. Our room had a direct view on the breakfast terrace.

This is a great hotel and was by far the best hotel we stayed in on our 3 week tour of Corsica and the South of France - it takes some finding as the hotel is perched on the side of a steep hill and is virtually undetectable from the road - fabulous views, great staff and clean, well equipped rooms with good-sized balconies - superb swimming pool - large, secure car park - excellent breakfast - 10 minute walk into the old town square, 15 minutes going back to the hotel because it's up hill !

We spent 3 nights there. The staff was welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious and filling—great views from the terrasse. The bedroom was roomy, comfy and clean—great outdoor pool. The hotel is conveniently located because it's not directly in the center of the town (so less noise and crowd) but just a 5/10-minute walk from it which means you do not need to take your car either. Would stay there again. The only drawback is that there is no restaurant in the hotel for dinner.

Liked · The view of the landscape with a side of Sardene is the highlight. You enjoy it too on the pool, which is also great. A lot of parking spaces. Nice room with relatively new facilities. Teapot. About 20 minutes drive to Propriano and its beaches. You can also enjoy a walk to Sartene Disliked · It was diffcult to regulate the water in the shower. On the balcony there was a gap between the glassrail on the floor and we traveled with a crawling baby. Everytime we tried to close the gap with a chair for our safety, the service staff came in and opened it again. The breakfast was rather poor. The last negative aspect was an inclined toilet.

Hotel bien placé avec de beaux extérieurs mais.....tout paraît à l'abandon et mal entretenu même sale...l'hygiène n'est pas leur point fort, le plat de croquettes à chats sur le bar....et ceux ci qui viennent y manger,nous aimons les animaux mais voir ça dans un 4 étoiles... Les chambres acceptables A l'accueil il n'y a jamais personne il faut telephoner Le petit déjeuner avec croissants brûlés que du pain blanc plus de café dans la machine (elle avait oublié)pan cake industriel froid meme pas l'équivalent d'un hotel Ibis Comment peut-on attribuer 4 étoiles à cet hôtel...on se demande si il existe des contrôles
