Domaine de Murtoli

When I read some of the other reviews I cannot help wondering if we were at the same place. We went for lunch in the main Michelin star restaurant, La Ferme. They were inefficient at reception and should be much slicker about knowing who you are and showing you to the table with out having to stand around. That aside we had an amazing lunch and hope to come back and stay here next time. The wine list is the best on Corsica with an amazing “ local” selection as well as other regions and not badly priced. The service and food were perfect and we left very satisfied.

Murtoli is an experience you will never forget. We were a group of 12 friends traveling there to celebrate the 50 anniversary of one of them. From the moment you step down from the car, someone is welcoming you. In our case it was the daughter of the owners welcoming us at 11.30 in the evening. She was extremely nice, explaining all the facilities, the program they have and all the possibilities we have around. The check-in was fast - you had your welcome drink wile the formalities were done. The front desk staff was always nice and helpful. The bartender was also willing to accommodate all our wishes and stayed till the last order was done. We stayed in the main part of the hotel, in a very beautiful rustic room that provided all the comfort you need. Cleaning was done several times a day, water provided all the time. They also have a beautiful movie-like cigar bar for the smokers. We had an exquisite dinner in the main restaurant. And when I say exquisite please understand that it was above any expectations one could have. In another evening we had the dinner in The Grotte restaurant - that is an experience one could not miss. They even organized for local singers to come and make the evening unforgettable. The breakfast was a minus, maybe because we did not choose the right package or because we were expecting a lot of fresh vegetables on the table and they did not have them listed in the menu. We had to ask several times for fresh tomatoes, they brought a few on the table and than the waiter just ignored us. The attitude of the waiters serving the breakfast was poor: the drinks came late, they did not say if something we order would not be possible to be done, they just ignored the requests. In case you have asthma, as I do, remove the dried decorative plants from the room in order to sleep well.

Not welcome! We have visitied this fantastic place several times with friends, and this year we also looked forward to do the same. But couples are NOT welcome and since we this year only are 2 persons visiting this beautiful island, we are not welcome, as we have to be at least a group of 4 people. A big disappointment for us both, hoping they in the future would reconsider their visiting policy.

Nous y sommes rendus en famille pour un repas à la ferme et y avons passé toute la journée. Tout était parfait , de la qualité des plats et de son rapport qualité prix au service , aucune fausse note. Le domaine est absolument ahurissant , tout à été rénové dans le plus grand des goûts et conçu pour un émerveillement des yeux et pour y passer un moment d exception, hors du temps et dans un confort luxueux. Nous renouvelleront l expérience sans hésitation et recommandons Murtoli à tous nos proches . Encore merci à toute l équipe Tout était formidable. Merci

Expérience magnifique. Une grotte. Un restaurant créé dedans. L ambiance est belle avec ces bougies. Le jeudi soir soirée corse avec un menu corse et deux chanteurs / guitaristes. On se laisse porter. L extérieur est beau également pour l été. Le domaine est immense. On y a croisé des lapins, sangliers, marcassins… Menu à 100 euros hors boisson mais cette soirée vaut le coup. Nous avons partagé une table de 6 avec un couple un peu dommage mais on a fait abstraction Les plats sont servis dans les plats directement et on se sert. Les quantités sont biens. Le service est bien également.

Difficile de trouver des fautes de goût que ce soit dans la décoration des salles, des terrasses, de l’ameublement, et des tables … du restaurant « la table de la ferme » seul Pour l’instant encore ouvert… (la saison débute à peine)… la table propose des mets de saison fort réussis.. et goûteux le risotto « vert » est particulièrement intéressant tout comme les linguines aux langoustines… , les desserts à base de fraise, et de citrons laissent à la fin du repas une fraîcheur inégalée … le jeune personnel apporte tout au long du repas une attention particulière aux convives sans être intrusifs… l’emplacement de la plage certes plus éloigné propose une agréable promenade après le repas avec une vue sur Rocapina à couper le souffle … elle inspire le repos par excellence ; le bois flotté et le fer forgé sont partout mis en valeur et en évidence ; ils inspirent la quiétude … Le Domaine de Murtoli reste un passage obligé, avec une petite mention particulièrement sympathique pour l’attention lors de l’anniversaire de mon mari…
