We were put up in the hotel for 2 nights after our flights were cancelled out of Sarajevo due to the snow. What can I say. It’s probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Checkin: Staff were completely uninterested, went onto the next customer when I was still speaking. Awful. 2 lifts for the whole hotel and it was mobbed! Room: Although big, the room was tired and in need of upgrading. Paint peeling off the walls, carpet stained. TV cut out in the middle of a programme when the WiFi went down. We had no tv for the rest of the night. Food: We were provided with full board charged to the airline. We checked in about 9pm, the buffet was utterly awful, everything was cold or lukewarm and I didn’t fancy food poisoning. We didn’t use our full board at all after that experience. Reception staff are absolutely awful. Too busy staring at their phones to help. Completely ignored us when we standing right in front of them every time we approached reception. Even when we said ‘excuse me’ or similar. When we requested an airport transfer at 11am for leaving at 12.30 the receptionist said that she’d arrange it… she didn’t. We approached her at 12.40 and she scrambled together a waiter to drive us to the airport 30 minutes late!!! Honestly, don’t waste your money, the only saving grace for us is that we didn’t pay for the ‘hospitality’ (or lack thereof) of this dump. (Special mention to the waiters in the actual restaurant - not the buffet section - who did seem genuine and helped us where they could.)
