Best location and very pleasant stay in this newly renovated hotel.

If you are planning a visit to Tomar, consider this newly renovated, boutique hotel! Located within walking distance to nearby shops and cafes, it is situated on an island with views of the surrounding river. It is absolutely lovely!! We had a regular room with a balcony outfitted with comfy lounge furniture. The room is beautifully decorated with walnut floors, a modern bathroom, and very comfortable bed. My spouse completed two zoom meetings from the desk comfortably. Included are my two favorites—robes and slippers! The bathroom has a large makeup mirror and LED lighting. It’s modern, efficient, and beautifully designed. We ate at the hotel restaurant both nights. The service is impeccable. If you are fortunate to have George or Francisco as your waiters, ask for their recommendations. We enjoyed both dinners. Breakfast is similar—amazing offerings for a day of sight seeing. The hotel has a small spa. After climbing, walking, and driving, we took advantage of the sauna and hydrotherapy pool. Just ask for the required swim cap to go along with the large towels provided in the room. TripAdvisor photos are no longer accurate. Check out the pics I’ve added and look at the hotel website. Under new management since June, I found this small, yet elegant Hotel when looking for Hotels with Spa to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We both loved the experience and were able to deeply relax and enjoy our short getaway. With a small interior and exterior swimming pool, water circuit and sauna the facilities, here we've experienced one of the best customer services we've had in all of our travels and hotels. From the cleaning staff, to the host, to the manager. All welcoming, thoughtful and sensitive to our needs. Furthermore the hotel is nicely located in the heart of Tomar, only a walking distance from the center and from most relevant places to visit. We ended our getaway planning to return.

The hotel is set in on an island the middle of Tomar. At first we could not work out how to get into the hotel grounds in our car, so we phoned reception and were told we needed drive over what appears to be a pedestrian footbridge which has large ‘No Entry’ signs either side of it, but if look carefully, underneath those large No Entry signs is a small sign saying ‘except for access to the hotel’, which we hadn’t previously noticed. Once in the hotel grounds parking is easy and the hotel is set in lovely surroundings. On entering the hotel we were greeted by the hotel receptionist (Patricia) who immediately made us feel extremely welcome. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. Our room was superb, and our balcony overlooked the park at the front of the hotel. Another lovely touch was that Patricia the receptionist had noticed from our check in details that my birthday was during our three night stay at the hotel and she arranged a surprise for me at breakfast on my birthday presenting me with a slice of cake complete with candle and the staff sang happy birthday to me which I thought was extremely considerate and totally unexpected. We will definitely be staying at this hotel again. It is excellent.

My wife and I have traveled extensively. This hotel is probably among the top values we have ever experienced. There are only a small number of rooms and all are recently updated and modernized. Because it is small, the staff seems to know everyone by name. Such friendliness even seemed to imbue other guests similarly. We loved the restaurant, spa and lobby bar. The restaurant menu was a bit limited but everything we tried was excellent. The hotel manager welcomed us on arrival and said farewell when we left. She was absolutely delightful and even stepped in to perform some concierge work when we had communication issues with a local tour. The only criticism I would offer relate to the spa. They require everyone wear a shower cap for hygiene reasons. Few people travel with caps but the hotel offers them for sale on check in. In addition, the in-room robes and slippers were only suitable for extremely small people. They were laughably small compared to our typical American frames. The slippers fell apart when first tried. This is an issue because the spa floor is dangerously slippery when wet. If you choose to try this gem, please book well in advance. It is new and I expect relatively undiscovered. I suspect that will change rapidly.

Está muito bem localizado, a decoração é elegante e cofortável, o spa é incrível, a equipa é super simpática, o pequeno almoço é ótimo. No restaurante Mouchão, além de cozinhar impecavelmente, são muito flexíveis. É ideal para relaxar e recarregar baterias. Só posso recomendar!
