Honestly, our experience was so terrible. I typically don't leave reviews, but I feel its important people know what they are getting into by booking this place (and I would recommend you book anywhere else). Little did we know that our stay in their so-called "Exclusive Suite with Private Pool" would turn into an absolute honeymoon nightmare. Arriving late on our first night, exhausted and excited for a restful sleep, we eagerly anticipated exploring the wonders of Greece the next morning. However, our hopes were shattered when daylight broke. From the moment I woke up at 8 am, our tranquil haven transformed into a full on construction zone. The deafening construction noise emanating from the neighboring suite shattered any chance of a romantic and peaceful retreat. Even the supposed serenity of the pool area became a cacophony of distressing sounds and construction workers. We had chosen Danae Suites, expecting a luxurious experience in the enchanting Finikia settlement near Oia. Little did we know the ordeal that awaited us. Our concerns were met with disappointment when we raised the issue with the general manager, who, unhelpfully, informed us that the construction noise would persist throughout our entire stay. He also provided no resolution. Our dreams of enjoying quiet moments by the "private pool" were crushed. Also, the breakfast was BELOW average, which is tough considering the cost of this hotel. Determined to salvage our honeymoon, we explored alternative options with the manager. We proposed moving to a different room away from the noise or even canceling our reservation for a refund. After careful consideration, my husband and I made the heart-wrenching decision to leave and find a sanctuary where we could truly relax and enjoy our time together. Before our departure, the manager CONFIRMED we would be fully refunded for our stay if we left, and that we would simply need to make a request on ***********. We did decide leaving was the best option (as the construction was extensive, and there were construction supplies scattered about the property). We packed our bags, and informed the front house staff, receiving acknowledgment from them. However, the manager conveniently denied any knowledge of our departure and lied when *********** sent our request for a refund. Today, I am left feeling utterly betrayed and deceived by Danae Suites. Not only did they deny us a refund, but they also fabricated claims that we never communicated our decision to leave. Shockingly, our stay lasted a mere 12 hours, yet they callously refused to reimburse us for the full six days we had initially booked through ***********. To add to our disappointment, we discovered a disturbing pattern of deceptive practices by this hotel.
