This place was a mix of emotions: - When I was booking it online with the WhatsApp team, it was a very smooth process. The WhatsApp team said we needed to let them know when we would be arriving at the hotel so they could ask someone from the hotel to pick us up at the end of the street since the driver didn’t have a 4x4 car. We arrived when we told them, and no one was there waiting for us. The driver contacted them, and they said they had no idea we asked for it, blaming the WhatsApp team. - The villa is beautiful, with very nice decor. The location is great. We booked two rooms, a master and a master rustico. The master was as shown in the pictures; the master rustico was as shown in the pictures, but the whole backyard is muddy, and you can’t use the outside shower or step in the garden because your feet will be soaked in the mud. When I say mud, I mean not only a bit; it is a wetland. So the whole point of being private and paying more for a bigger space is not truthful. When I was booking the rooms through WhatsApp, they showed me the tours and their prices and told me that I would need to book in person when I checked in. No problem. But when I got there, there was a discrepancy in the amounts previously mentioned to me in WhatsApp for a private tour, and I was told that if I paid in cash/pix, then it would be 5% cheaper, but still higher than the amount previously mentioned to me on WhatsApp. One of the tours we wanted to take was to visit the lençóis maranhenses at night, with appetizers and drinks. First I was told (from the people that works in the lobby but also in the restaurant) that the private tour would cost R$1600 reais including appetizers and drinks. When I left and spoke with my family and came back to say we wanted to do it they said they told us the wrong price. They said we needed to pay an additional R$300 per person and the drinks were not included. So I told them: NO. A few minutes later, someone else came, from the restaurant, saying that they told us the wrong price. That the whole tour for everyone would cost R$1100 reais, with appetizers and no drinks. I told them that this whole situation was very unpleasant and we didn’t want to go anymore. - a day before I checked in, I received a message no on whatsapp saying that if I wanted to eat in the restaurant on the day I would check in, I would need to make a reservation telling them what I wanted to eat so when I arrived, the food would be ready. I arrived and the food was not ready. The lobby blamed someone from whatsapp that didn’t not pass the message to the rest of the team. Also said that the WhatsApp people are not the lobby people. Not sure if they are saying the truth but in the end of the day you are one team, and instead of keeping blaming other people, just apologize and do your best for this not to happen again. - the restaurant food was very good, juices not much, not strong.
