We lived for a full year at Coliving Compostela, and overall, it was one of the most enriching decisions we’ve made as remote workers living in a coliving in Spain. What made it special? The people. We met others from all over the world, each with fascinating stories and professional backgrounds. It wasn’t just networking, we built genuine friendships that made this coliving in Santiago feel like home. The events made everything even better: from vermouth sessions and Paint & Wine nights to local cheese tastings, fashion shows, and startup meetups. It was easy to feel part of something and not just a guest passing through. The city itself is full of life. Santiago de Compostela has an energy that mixes tradition, students, and pilgrims from everywhere. We loved the food (especially the pulpo!), the Cathedral, the green parks, and in summer… stunning beaches are just a short trip away. The coliving space is modern, clean, and cozy in winter thanks to good heating. The coworking space is well-equipped with ergonomic chairs, ideal for long hours of remote work. The location is great, 15 minutes from the train station, 10 from the historic center, and close to everything you need for daily life. Plus, Santiago is incredibly safe, day or night. Now, a couple of things we’d love to see improve: having a dishwasher in the kitchen would be a huge plus (especially when sharing), and we’d really love to see partnerships with rural colivings in Galicia to allow for short stays or exchanges. That kind of collaboration could make the experience even more diverse and interesting. And of course, we can’t forget Eva. She’s the heart of this place, warm, energetic, and truly welcoming. Alongside Fatou and Paula, the team made a huge difference in how we felt throughout the year. Living with so many people wasn’t something we were used to, but it helped us grow. We learned to appreciate different lifestyles, rhythms, and cultures, and we left with memories and connections we’ll carry with us. If you’re looking for a coliving in Galicia that feels human, balanced, and inspiring, Coliving Compostela is a great place to start.
