Soho Boutique Palacio de Pombo

I have traveled for business and pleasure most of my life and I have stayed in the best hotels around the world. But when I think of a bad hotel experience I will always remember hotel Soho Palacio Real. From beginning to end all was mediocre. First, if you are not very familiar with the area, you have no idea where to park your car, and the streets are very narrow. Then, if you are up in age and not very athletic, you will have to carry all your bags to the hotel, as they do not have a porter (this hotel is a 4 start). As it was our wedding anniversary, they gave us an update to a junior suite. Well, I don’t want to see a regular room. This junior suite did not have enough space for the 2 of us plus our bags. The breakfast was at best run of the mill, very mediocre for a 4 start hotel. The service there was all quite poor. There were several tables empty, but dirty. To top it all, we had a medical issue and needed to leave the following day instead of the 2 days programmed and paid in advance. Needless to say, they refused to credit us for the night we were not going to spend there. If I ever go back to Santander, I know FOR SURE where not to stay

Great hotel right in the centre of Santander , beautiful building with very friendly staff. The room was on the forth floor which was small but spotlessly clean with a nice bathroom, each room has a kettle and nespresso coffee maker , also water left in the room every day. Would definitely recommend to stay here if visiting Santander.

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location. Parking is next door in a parking building, easy to find. One entrance to the hotel is thru the yacht club entrance. Staff at reception very helpful and lovely. Room was lovely, and decent size, bar fridge, coffee machine plus tea making facilities. Great shower. Our basin didn’t drain unfortunately and the air conditioner was just adequate, a worry as it wasn’t very hot. A pleasant stay in a lovely room. Recommend.

Elegent hotel in restored C19th building. Tastefully decorated rooms with huge beds and memory foam pillows Coffee machine and complimentary capsules. In the heart of the restaurant area but the room was peaceful and calm Staff very helpful

We stayed for 2 nights, 2 couples. Great location in the main town area, 20 minutes from the airport. We had a basic double room on the inside of the hotel window onto the atrium. Great sized room and huge bathroom. we had a third bed in our room which we could have done without but we just left all our stuff strewn all over it, so handy as well. The beds were excellent and the air-con was almost silent. Staff were fantastic, Santander does not have as many English speakers as elsewhere in Spain but the staff were pretty proficient. The town is great, no British pubs or roast dinners, genuinely Spanish everywhere. had a a great time trying to communicate sometimes, our Spanish being extremely limited but the locals in general where pleasant and helpful. had one run in with a surly waitress, more our fault than hers. Wine is very cheap and excellent quality, i think they send all the dodgy stuff to the UK. beer and food are pretty reasonable, lots of choice from high end to local fare, a lot of bars will give you Tapas with your drinks. the little market in the town center is great for food and drink. there is an area down by the port with lots of fish restaurants, extremely busy at all meal times with locals so you really need to book in advance. great beaches if you walk north to the Bay of Biscay coastline. Thoroughly recommend Santander to anyone who wants a bit of real Spain, don't bother if you want cheap British pubs and roast beef.

Très bel hôtel. Bien situé. Propre. Dommage pour les produits de toilette que nous devons demander. Seul point négatif. Les chambres sont aussi petites. Et il y fait très chaud. Les fenêtres sont minuscules. C est dommage de lancer la clim en février.
