ForFriends Inn Wine Country Bed and Breakfast

Located on Edison Street in the heart of Santa Ynez, ForFriends Inn is an 8-room bed & breakfast centered around a beautiful Craftsman-style main house. My wife and I spent two nights there during late February 2025. We were in the Brick Barn room, which I understand is the smallest room at the Inn. It was, however, beautifully appointed and definitely spacious enough for my wife and me. The king bed was extremely comfortable, there was a large walk-in closet, and a huge bathroom with an impressive shower. Everything in the room (lights, heater, air conditioner, wireless Internet, flat screen television, etc.) worked the way it was supposed to. The only downside was that there were no USB ports, so if you can’t do without your electronic devices, be sure to bring your own wall chargers. Among the highlights of our stay were the delightful breakfasts. Every morning you have a choice between bacon and eggs and the daily special. On the two mornings we were there the specials were avocado toast and breakfast tacos. Their wine and charcuterie happy hour was also fun; one evening, Dave (the owner) brought his guitar and performed live music for the guests. Everyone who worked there went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We couldn’t have imagined a better experience, so we are delighted to give ForFriends Inn our highest recommendation.

Our stay at ForFriends was the best we've had in this area. The staff (Carolyn, Robyn, Sandra) were very friendly and so helpful! They had great suggestions on where to visit and were very knowledgeable. The breakfast was great and the happy hour wine and treats were a delight! We stayed at Sunstone tower and it was very clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Easy walk to stores, restaurants and local wine tasting. It was well worth the stay and would definitely recommend!

This is our second time here and we absolutely love it. The owner was phenomenal, the rooms were great and super comfortable, the staff was amazing, it's a great location. We wouldn't stay anywhere else when in the area. You should stop your search and book here now!

This was the cutest place to stay. They provide wine music a small eats for happy wine hour and a delicious breakfast. We will definitely be back. They have a few rooms within the house and also some bungalows. Walking distance to eats shops and bars.

Very welcoming stay, super sweet and informative hosts. They give you a friendship pass to use at their favorite wineries and restaurants and a map of where to find them. Loved my stay at this cute Cottage with my little family of 4. I definitely recommend 👌

Honestly…this was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had! Dave (owner of For Friends) is an amazing person! My company did a full buy out of the Inn, and we had a blast! Each room is unique, spotless, accommodating, cozy and comfortable! Would give them 10 stars if I could! What a great location as well. Walking distance to great restaurants and the local bar ( The Maverick) which was super fun! Simply, a cute little town. Would absolutely come back - thanks again, Dave for everything you and your staff did for our group! I feel grateful to have had this experience.
