Hotel - Odjo d´Agua

Nice hotel good location for local restaurants 2 pools both salt water one pool can be used by non hotel guests an can become crowded ,the staff were friendly and helpful, room was nice but located next to a large pond which mosquitoes seemed to love they were bit of a problem to a lot of people ,food in hotel was nice especially breakfast buffet would use hotel again but try and get apartment with sea view .

I had the pleasure of spending a delightful week at Odjo D'Agua this April, and I couldn't have been happier with my stay. Situated at the serene end of Santa Maria beach, the hotel boasts a breathtaking view across the bay that instantly sets the tone for a tranquil getaway. Upon arrival, I found myself initially placed in a room that felt a bit secluded. However, the attentive staff swiftly accommodated my request for a room swap, and the next day, I was moved to a ground-level room with a mesmerizing sea view. It was simply perfect. Throughout my stay, the staff remained busy attending to various tasks, yet they always managed to greet guests with genuine warmth and courtesy. The beach bar, with its selection of sandwiches and wraps, became a favorite spot of mine to unwind while overlooking the private beach. The only downside was the slightly pricey wine selection, but the overall value for money was still commendable. Opting for the half-board package, with breakfast and dinner included. While breakfast offered a decent spread, I did wish for a bit more variety as the options seemed to repeat each day. However, dinner never disappointed, with a selection of starters, mains, and desserts to choose from. Admittedly, service could be slow at times, but it's understandable given the bustling nature of the restaurant, catering not only to hotel guests but also to visitors drawn by its prime location. In essence, Odjo D'Agua epitomises everything I cherish in a hotel experience: charm, romance, warmth, and relaxation. It's a refreshing departure from the impersonal atmosphere of larger complexes, and I can't wait to return.

Room close to the staff area's on the ground. No privacy because staff is paying by continuously. Also, staff is talking (many shouting) to each other, so no quite place at all. I encountered foodposioning in their restaurant and was three days on bed After reporting no one informed about my wellbeing or if I am in need of something.

A superbly appointed hotel by the beach. Stunning infinity pool, a beach side bar, and an open air restaurant overlooking the sea. Soft yellow sand and turquoise sea, sunbeds and shades (small daily charge for these), make for a lovely sunshine break. The hotel has beautiful plants and trees, quirky artefacts and artwork with welcoming, helpful staff. Another bonus is that it is in the town of Santa Maria on Sal and only a few minutes from shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel offers a great breakfast and evening restaurant service or walk to a nearby bar or restaurant. Lovely live music is everywhere.

An excellent family run hotel right on the beach in Santa Maria, Sal. Clean and well maintained with two pools, and a private beach. You can hire a lounger for the day or just use your towel on the sand. Great restaurant with lovely staff, and a beach bar serving snacks and drinks. Overall a lovely non- corporate place unlike the big new hotels outside the town

A charming, atmospheric hotel and much nicer than the purpose built tourist complexes we saw further up along the coastline towards the airport. We loved it. It's situated right on the water front, as the name suggests, and the restaurant looks over the sea. The food here is excellent and is one of the best restaurants we ate at during our stay in Santa Maria. Our room was one of the more basic but was clean and well serviced with all the amenities we needed such as a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. The staff were mostly very friendly and helpful. We did encounter a couple who were less so but that was because of language problems. The staff at reception were especially helpful, and Sara in particular. A minus is that the pool which was free, was too shallow one end for swimming, and the other end too deep to stand in. You had to pay to use the other pool , an infinity, in the beach area. This could work out rather expensive for daily use. Apart from this the hotel is perfect for short break in the sun away from the British winter. One other minus, which is not to do with the hotel, is that the money machines in Santa Maria appear to hardly ever be refilled, and it took us two days of attempts to get money. Other tourists we spoke to had the same problems.

Very old & Dated hotel . Shower is shocking either cold or keeps cutting out. U have to pay €4 for a sun bed every day so need this to your buget or sit on sand. Definitely for the price u pay its very poor stay away. ....... .... ..,........ .........

This hotel is a gem, especially if you prefer smaller family run hotels over enormous, all inclusive stays. Breakfast overlooking the sea was a delight. The room was a good size with a lovely shady balcony that we spent a lot of time on. We preferred sea swimming over the pools and swam just east of the pier where there were no rocks. Hotel give swim towels and we never paid for a sunbed. Restaurant was also lovely but we ended up going to nearby Cams for a friendly smile and good food.

This has to be the worst hotel room we've had the misfortune of staying in. As per previous reviews it appears many of the rooms in the old block are in desperate need of renovation however room 208 is beyond renovation and only changing it into a store room could save it. Its built into the eaves of the roof, at the front of the room it's necessary to crouch down to reach the desk containing the kettle and associated items, in the bedroom the ceilings run at various different angles right across the room, the only hotel I've had to crawl into bed. On reporting our displeasure to reception the male receptionist laughed and said the hotel is full ! The hotel is living off its previous reputation
