Drift Santa Barbara, a Member of Design Hotels

Location was great. “Cozy” room was pretty small, but they were clear about it listing actual square footage.

If the online checking fails it is hard to check in, it can be done via the bar but if you come through the parking lot it's difficult to get. Rooms are very small, and nicely location on the main avenue in Santa Barbara.

Lovely design but we could not sleep with the thumping music from the busy bars. Even we’ll late into the night persistent bassy noice from the raucous bars surrounding hotel. There should be a noice ordinance.

The room was much much smaller than the picture suggested. The check in and check out was seamless though.

This is not a hotel, it is like dorm rooms with NO service, no front desk. Rooms are horrible and nothing is convenient. I would never ever stay here again. The area is very loud at night as well.

I had a great time staying at your hotel for couple of nights. So chic, clean, and beautiful place to spend few days and relax. I will definitely come back and if wil be my go to place. Thanks

While the room is small, it is incredibly thoughtfully laid out with the space/function being maximized. The high ceilings really help the room as well. Super clean and modern. The coffee shop and bar are fantastic. Definitely will be back

Drift was a great place to stay. Unbelievable location right in the heart of the old town walking street. Beds were really comfortable as well. Definitely recommend!

The place was cozy, modern, well-designed, and beautiful. However, the noise issue was what made me decide not to come back to this location.. I come to SB a lot and I have always wanted to try Drift Hotel located in SB because I only stay at Ritz Bacara SB.. But since Bacara Ritz is away from Downtown, I wanted to stay at a hotel located in the heart of Downtown.. But the noise level was extreme.. The night was restless and I could not sleep until 3 in the morning because of all the musics and loud noises surrounding our hotel (bars and restaurants) and also the main issue was the guests across from our room. I think they were so drunk.. They would not stop talking (really loud) in front of our room which made my child wake up continuously.. Also one of them try to open our door which got me scared so I could not fall asleep easily. I think they got so drunk so they did it by accident..But I dont think Drift was a good idea for a family..Probably better for young couple or adults only if you are planning to party all night long. Hotel was clean though..
