I’ve just returned from a 5 day stay at this hotel, and unfortunately it was not a 5* experience. The staff were not attentive. For example I would order a drink and then my order would be forgotten, so I’d have to re-order. This happened few times. At breakfast one morning they ran out of glasses for juice, so I asked for another glass and I was given a bowl instead, told that they were closing in 10 minutes and they couldn’t give me a glass! One day my towel and sunscreen got removed from my lounger, while I popped to the shop opposite. I can’t have been gone for more than 20 minutes. When I asked the lifeguard why he had taken my stuff, he said he couldn’t speak English. Generally, the resort is incredibly overpriced, and the quality of the hot food was not great. There’s no denying that it is a beautiful setting, but really if I had gone in high season and paid those prices, I would have been very unhappy. They really need to do better in order to hold themselves out as a 5* hotel. I’ve had much better experiences in 4* hotels, which I would rate higher.
