"From the moment we stepped onto the property at Tranquilseas Resort, we were made to feel like dear, long-lost friends who had just returned from a long adventure. From Jan and Elie in reception, to the wait and service staff in the Sunken Fish, to all the instructors and dive team members in the Best Dive Roatan dive shop, the entire Tranquilseas team treated us with warmth and grace, and did everything humanly possible to ensure that our needs and wishes were met to their fullest. We travel frequently but never stay at a single location and dine in for more than a couple of days, but with a seven-day all-inclusive package, we were never even tempted to leave the homey comforts of Tranquilseas. Other guests have mentioned biting insects, and these are to be found in abundance everywhere on Roatan, but they are not a problem in the rooms, out on the dock, or when you're in the water, which is where we were for most of our stay. (BTW, we found that a battery-powered Thermocell repellant until placed under the table in the restaurant worked pretty well when the prevailing breezes weren't too strong.) We stayed in the Scarlet Macaw room, which is the largest and most luxurient of the nine rooms on the property. There are more than a couple of dozen excellent dive sites within a short boat trip from the resort, and with reef being only a couple of hundred meters offshore, excellent snorkeling is only a short swim or kayak ride form the dock. Being on the northwest side of the island means the resort is on the lee side of the islands, and flat water, particularly in the mornings, is the norm unless storms or a northwest wind comes in. We will definitely be looking forward to our next visit and will certainly be recommending Tranquilseas to our friends."

"Fantastic place to work remotely during our week long stay. The room was bright and fresh with a fantastic view. Staff was proactive and took care of our every need. It wasn't too loud or hectic, the perfect balance if entertainment and quiet getaway. Everyone at the location was always cheerful and ready to share a beer and a story.
