Premier Inn Isle of Wight, Sandown (Seafront)

We enjoyed our best Eid Vacation on this hotel. We were warm welcomed by the receptionist Mr Waqar. He helped beyond our expectations throughout our stay. The hotel is situated on the best of the island. The buffet Breakfast was excellent . Only cons is that the hotel doesn’t have any free parking onsite, getting a paid space on the esplanade is really difficult. But most of the hotels on the esplanade don’t have free parking spaces.

Lovely hotel and team. Great location and right on the beach. Perfect for the summer and with the family if I came back with them. Breakfast was great and loads of choice. Room was lovely, everything I needed. Will be back again as I love the IOW and the hotel

We have just had a great weekend break with my in laws. They haven’t been to Isle of Wight for over 20 years. We stayed at the premier inn at Sandown. We booked two seafront rooms which was clean, modern and quiet. The bed was big and comfortable and the bathroom had a walk in shower. All in all a great hotel. Emily on reception was brilliant. She was friendly and her customer service was second to none. Nothing was too much. The bar/restaurant team were excellent, especially the manager in the evening. He was friendly and couldn’t have done more. The whole team were brilliant and I cannot thank them all of them enough for making this a lovely weekend break. There is on street parking on the seafront which is standard and was fine. This is a lovely hotel, great staff and great location.

Would never come here again staff are rude and weird they don’t wash the bedding don’t come here save your money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This hotel is in a great location. It can’t be faulted. The staff are always great and helpful. Friendly and normal which is good. Where this falls down are 3 elements. 1. Parking - there is no parking you have to find a space of you are lucky outside the hotel which is near on impossible. You end up down the other end of the esplanade. You then have to pay anything from £2.35 up to around £12 to park. The parking runs out at 4:30am. Which is madness. Not the hotels fault but there needs to be clearer advice or pre booking to book parking in bulk. You can buy permits but I didn’t think I would need this but clearly I did. No parking so that’s not good. 2. WiFi. It’s poor at best. 4g was better. Of course we go away to get away from tech and wifi. However when you take a load of pics and want to send them the wifi can’t handle it. It drops soon as you login. Then just hangs. Not good. You can upgrade but why do u need to. 3. The aircon. It’s set to 19c. Doesn’t sound hot but the windows don’t open and it is hot. Even in April I needed it to go down lower and it can’t. It’s like it was blowing some form of air out of a straw. The rooms were just hot in the night and for me it was uncomfortable. I dreaded going back to the room to sleep as I knew I would be baking and when you can’t get fresh air in to the room it becomes stuffy and stale.

Great location, with great sea views if you're willing to pay the extra. Good access with lifts to the rooms. a nice pub/ restaurant attached, even has a good early bird menu for £5 great value. Staff were helpful in the restaurant. Good choice of beers as well
