Holiday Suites Port Barton

I think it’s overpriced for Port Barton. They advertise as a nice hotel but really it’s mediocre service. Staff is nice but the service is so-so.

Best beach front of Port Barton!! Room ok, breackfast ok.

Great view by the beach, in the middle of town, swimming pool is OK it was filthy though, the staff are Ok, not very friendly though i think they are under staffed, we had to carry all our laugage through check-in and check-out, bed and pillows are super uncomfortable, cute little room though, Breakfast is shocking absolutely disappointing, NO effort or whatsoever, they served rice,rice soup, eggs, a sausage you can't eat, and a sardines.. NOTE it wasn't free we paid it with the Room rate.

We choose this hotel based on the reviews in Tripadvisor, unfortunately there are not many good hotels in Port Barton and this is supposed the best one, breakfast is regular one, not based on foreign necessities, rooms are medium size and clean, sane than rest of premises in the hotel, however hotel do not have a contingency plan for unforeseen events, we have had problems with wifi, up and down during two days, electricity short cuts, there is not generators to compensate this, and last water cuts, when asking to reception the depot was used for laundry instead of guess, from my point of view human higiene is first and later on laundry due to is possible to have extra towels, sheets and so on but is really uncomfortable have dinner full of sand and sea salt

There are only 2 large hotels in Port Barton. This hotel was ok for the price. The staff was Very Friendly and helpful. The Hotel needs someone to come in and "help" it improve. Gorgeous Pool with NO pool chairs...just plants. I envision at least 13 lounge chairs could be added and most of the plants could be moved around. Then you could lay at the pool and have a few drinks in the sun! No umbrellas in sand area by the few lounge chairs that they have. There was no food servers, you had counter service only. Beds are HARD. No Money Change at the Front Desk. Very Small Beach City, Quiet mostly, some kids love to use "Firecracker like" noises on beach. The boat trips were GREAT! Snorkeling was Great on the boat trips! Went to see Bigaho Falls on Private Boat...worth the money! Not Commercialize yet, so that is nice. People in the Philippines are the nicest, always smiling and singing people around!

Physically decent hotel its just no one smiles here unlike the rest of port barton. The bar is usually self-service due to lack of staff and/or lack of initiative. Dont order the salpicao unless ypu have very strong jaws. Would love to come back to port barton, just not at holiday suites
