Hotel Bonsai

Lovely mountain view from the family room on the first floor, nice bedroom, and delicious freshly-baked croissants for breakfast. One lovely girl on reception, but a really rude girl on the morning of August 27th. We couldn't find the room key (a real key, oddly, instead of a swipe card) so assumed it was still in our room. We are unlikely to return to Sardinia (so many places to go), much less Hotel Bonsai, so were surprised to see the hotel receptionist drive up to the to the airport parcheggio bustop, asking us rudely to check our bags for the key or else we would have to pay 50 euro. We were very stressed already as my online bank account had been hacked and 3700 was missing, which thank goodness I have since recouped from my bank - careful of paying with debit cards in beach restaurants peeps - cash is king ! We did find the old-fashioned-key in my sister's bag, so that was our silly mistake...However, this receptionist's attitude was not acceptable: it was suggestive that we were criminally stealing a 'key' to a hotel room to which neither of us will never, ever return. 'Grazie' she then said peremptorily, while snapping the key out of my sister's hand. This left such a sour taste in our mouths, after spending so much money for a short holiday in Hotel Bonsai. Good luck to her growing more kind-hearted, like her lovely female colleague in the reception of Hotel Bonsai. Otherwise, this review would be 3-star.

We had a fantastic stay in The Bonsai hotel. Such a friendly welcome;the reception,restaurant and cleaning staff honestly couldn't do enough for us,absolutely perfect and all such lovely people. Our rooms were great,spotlessly clean,spacious and really well equipped. The breakfast buffet was absolutely brilliant,something for everyone and so much choice.Absolutelt delicious! A wonderful pool & amazing roof terrace. A very short walk to the centre of town and a longer(but well worth it)walk to the lovliest beach with the clearest sea. A brilliant place to stay!!!!

Siamo stati in questo albergo 3 giorni, abbiamo prenotato la camera più bella che loro potevano darci ovvero la family, perché qui non esistono suite. Purtroppo non siamo stati sorpresi piacevolmente… Lo staff e il personale molto gentile e disponibile, ma l’hotel risulta vecchio e non seguito, la nostra camera si presentava con un arredamento che imitava in modo scarso l’arredamento sardo, mobili di scarsa qualità e messi così qua e là.. la nostra stanza era molto grande ma non arredata in maniera corretta e piacevole. Stanza rumorosa, perché tutte le mattine si viene svegliati dalla macchina della nettezza urbana, con 10 minuti di rumori assordanti. Entra tanta luce (dai lati) perché le tende non sono totalmente oscuranti e non c’è doppio bastone. Bagno molto scarno vecchio e con segni di usura, la nostra maniglia della porta del bagno era praticamente a penzoloni e non era presente neanche la chiave. Doccia molto piccola, con scorrevole in plastica che non si chiude completamente. Tende sporche e macchiate, pezzi mancanti di arredamento nel bagno (forse rotti e mai aggiustati) Per il prezzo che abbiamo speso ci aspettavamo molto ma molto di più. Ottima e abbondante la colazione.
