Hotel Leku Eder was a perfect stop for us. It is up in the hills with amazing views. Although a bit out of town, there is an excellent bus connection into San Sebastián and the stop is right outside the door. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, with a lot of good tips and information. (Take their recommendation for dining in the small town about a 15 minute walk away.) It is an older hotel, not the most modern, but everything is immaculate and well taken care of. There is onsite parking.

Hotel Leku Eder is such a hidden gem! 🏞️ Super chill vibes, with epic views of the sea and mountains. 🌊⛰️ The rooms are cozy and clean, and the staff? Absolutely lovely — they make you feel right at home. 🛏️🫶 It’s a bit out of the city center, but the bus stops right outside, so getting around is easy. 🚌 Perfect spot if you’re into peaceful mornings with a view and want to escape the hustle. 🌅

This is a really great hotel, we stayed for 5 nights and we absolutely loved it. Friendly helpful staff, free parking, good sized rooms with comfortable beds and if you pay a little extra you get a room with a balcony and a fabulous sea view. Great breakfast with lots of choice and they also cater for special dietary requirements. Lots of great advice about things to do and see and even which bars to eat at. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which takes you down the hill to the old town for €1.85. Or you can walk up the hill to the castle and take the funicular railway down. We highly recommend this hotel, it’s a real find for the price.

This is probably only the second review I’ve ever written on Trip Advisor, but this hotel is worth it! This place is SPOTLESS. The staff is so amazing, Elena and Tania were incredible to us. We had a room with a sea view that was spectacular. When we arrived EVERYTHING we asked for they accommodated ABOVE and BEYOND. Extra pillows, CHECK, a fan (not that we needed it with the windows open, but my husband has become accustomed to air movement and fan noise) CHECK, an extra towel for my hair (I have a lot of hair) CHECK. Our taxi came at 6:00 a.m. and they had a “to go breakfast” packed for us that included everything. We used the breakfast room for an evening picnic and the stored our food and “adult beverages” in their refrigerator and even brought us ice several nights in a row. The only thing that ANYONE would miss is nightlife outside the door, but we’re not in our 20’s and SPECIFICALLY didn’t want that. I can see why this hotel is rated #5 for San Sebastián, don’t stay anywhere else. Make sure to book the sea view rooms, so worth the few extra pennies. The decks are huge!

An excellent family run hotel. The staff and manager/owner were most friendly and helpful. We were planning to hire a wheelchair for my mother-in-law and had found somewhere (San Sebastien is a very handicapped friendly place) but asking the man directions he offered to provide one from the hotel. Made our stay. We had two rooms for the four of us one at the front with balcony and view, one at the back. The noise from the road did not disturb us as it is out of town and calm after 11.00-ish. If you have no car, there is a regular and cheap bus service stopping just outside. Good breakfast but no other meals; however we found that on Spanish time a late breakfast and late lunch in town gave us no hunger to eat anything much in the evening. Recommended.

This family run hotel is a gem located just on the outskirts of San Sebastian on Mount Igeldo. A bus stop is situated outside the door making it very easy to forget your car and take public transport into the city. We have been coming here for 20 years and it just gets better. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff could not be more helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Get a sea view room if you can, it's worth paying extra for the stunning view. Great varied breakfast which is served in a room overlooking the bay. The room can also be used during the day where you can havectea/coffee etc free of charge. I really cannot recommend this place enough.

The Hotel Leku Eder is a fantastic family run hotel with amazing views of the sea and surrounding hills of Donostia-San Sebastian. The staff were lovely, welcoming and very helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing, especially the gorgeous cakes! Highly recommended and we would definitely stay again if in the area.

We planned a trip with a camper from Germany across France to Spain. Unfortunately, the vehicle broke down and this great house gave us accomodation on a very short notice. They even helped us in finding a garage and let us use the breakfast rooms to do all our arragements using the free WiFi. We stayed for three nights and everyone cared about us in the best possible way. The staff is simply out of this world - special thanks to Leire who even prepared a late dinner for us on the night we arrived after our camper-breakdown. You're an angel.

This hotel was lovely surprise. Staff was super friendly and told us good information about area. During our days we changed room from street side to sea side so we got sea view. I recommend you to take room with sea view! View is amazing. Rooms was clean. Bed was comfortable although bit noisy.. and breakfast contain lot of bread/whey products and we missed eggs/omelettes or other protein sources. Ham was only protein source in breakfast. In evening time there was free tea, cakes and coffee offered in living room that is nice area for working etc. Internet wifi is OK but its not best possible. I still could do my software engineering work there but sometimes connection was slow. Location is good because you can go to city centre very easily with bus. Free parking.
