Hotel Bahía de la Luna

Quiet, peaceful, remote. The three best words for the Bahia de la Luna. The beach is wonderful. Perfect waves and warm clear water. The bungalow I stayed in was perfect..although without hot water as is the entire property. Good enough for a quick rinse-off! The staff was helpful and responsive and the food was very good. Dinner on the beach is lovely, Best way to judge a review is "would you stay again" and that answer is definitely. Take heed regarding the higher up bungalows...it is a steep climb! Glad to have been beachside!

I was there for three nights and didn’t want to leave. A beach-level casita was perfect as it was 100metres walk down the beach and into the perfect water, whenever needed to cool off. The hot August nights, even with two strong fans was difficult to sleep in. The staff were very friendly, my room was serviced beautifully every day, the food was DELICIOUS. A very affordable stay, too. I didn’t want to leave! Strongly recommend.

Couldn't have been happier with our casita, staff and especially the dining and beverage choices. Hats off to a unique Mexico beach experience in an isolated Pacific ocean cove in far southern Mexico.

We loved Bahia de la Luna for its simplicity and laid back vibe - the perfect place to rest up and chill out whilst watching birds (pelicans and frigatebirds) and a whale and rays jumping offshore. One of the owners also took us on a glorious walk through the forest behind the hotel and we took out the kayaks which are freely available a couple of early mornings.

This is my favorite spot in Mexico for relaxation!! The staff is highly attentive. Food is very good. I love the very firm mattresses. Mosquito netting over beds, and fans in each room are helpful. Just a perfect piece of paradise. Arriving is part of the fun- we usually have most of our people arrive by boat from Azul Profundo tours company in Puerto Angel. Someone returns with the boat, and brings our bags in a taxi. The dusty, curvy, steep road getting there makes it just tricky enough to get to La Boquilla beach to keep it from being crowded. We had baby turtles making their way to the ocean during dinner. And a momma turtle played her eggs near our front door on the beach. We watched whales breaching in the ocean, and had mantarays jumping just ten feet from where we were swimming in the bay. Rooms and food are reasonably priced.

This place is totally magical - especially for the nature lover. Spectacular, warm, safe beach, lovely beach side restaurant, insanely good drinks. Very nice staff. So relaxing. Book as many days as possible. You will not want to leave. They have snorkel equipment and kayaks. Take advantage - there ocean is teaming with life. Watch the whales swim by out in the ocean by day, and sea turtles hatching or laying eggs by night. Incredible.

One of a kind - truly beautiful spot and a fantastic team (including owner who we were lucky enough to meet). A hotel with a very light touch in terms of impact on the beauty of the environment, and that respects it's surroundings and nature perfectly. Will hopefully be back again (and again!). Thank you to all for such an exeptional stay.

This is a beautiful place for adults, no really recommend to traveling with kids

Bahia De La Luna on Playa Boquilla was completely wonderful--the beach is beautiful, pristine, quiet; the hotel staff are friendly and helpful; the food is really delicious; the cabana my daughter and I had was spacious, comfortable, lovely. It was what we were hoping to find--quiet, peaceful, remote. There is no town, nothing there but the ocean, the beach , the hotel. It was wonderful. We're returning.
