Hotel Maria Isabela

I’d you plan on sleeping, this hotel is not for you. The bar/dance club next door plays loud music until 1AM. It feels like you are trying to sleep on the dance floor. If that’s not enough, there is no window coverings in the room with the kitchenette and the front desk is tucked right under that window, so every word the staff says sounds like they are in the room. The staff is very sweet and the girls try to work through the language barrier. The night person, however, was having hour-long video calls with friends and family (boredom i guess) on speaker phone. Maybe she was trying to hear them over the dance music, so it was just a scream fest into the night. Asking to take it off speaker brought limited result. The kitchenette room is super rustic, unlike the remodeled rooms. Towels are worn, no AC or ceiling fan. Pretty miserable stay.
