The stay was disappointing as we had no water on the first night and the second day no hot water. We request a full refund of the stay, as this are the most basic services to be provided at a hotel. Looking forward to a resolution at your earliest. Regards, Nicolas

We spent one night here and the location could not have been better. This charming hotel is situated just a few steps from the town square and faces the Royal Monastery which is also just a short walk away, across the street. There are many bars and restaurants to choose from in the surrounding streets and discounted parking is available just 100 metres away. Our room looked over a side street but was still perfect for a one night stop over. It was well appointed, clean and very quiet when the windows were closed. We did not take the optional breakfast so cannot comment on this. We would definitely stay here again.

I visited San Lorenzo for one night with a friend, as we wanted to visit El Escorial. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the wonderful people who work there. David was very friendly and helpful in booking our room, while Pedro went out of his way to arrange with kitchen staff a gluten-free meal for me (I am celiac). Maria, the owner, was friendly and welcoming as well. Our room was very clean and furnished beautifully, with a terrific view of the monastery. Both meals we ate there were delicious. Lovely lounge areas with an old-world feel, and light-filled dining areas. Thank you so much for your hospitality…I hope to return one day!

The restaurant at the end of the hotel with its open wall to the street was great! We have the lunch specials (4) and everyone was delighted with the food. The 1st and 2nd courses were very good. Deserts were very good. The bread was amazingly crunchy and soft inside! Stop for lunch and enjoy because the price was also great 17 Euros for a wind meal in a great setting across from El Escorial!

My friend and I spent a lovely weekend at this elegant and friendly hotel. The room, which was well-sized and equipped with wonderfully-comfortable bedding, had two beautiful balconies overlooking the village rooftops, each with views of the historic monastery and the mountains. But what made our stay particularly special was the superb service from Maria and all of the staff, including Pablo and David Fons. We were treated so well here and will definitely be returning as well as recommending this hotel to all our family and friends.

Horrible both rooms and breakfast. Old dirty place, beds not suitable anymore, windows that do not close, noisy area, 10€ breakfast with only bread and yogurts. I feel scammed. Shame on them, I’ve been many times in town and all other hotels were 10 times better. Do not go.

We visited the restaurant of the hotel on a not so busy evening of May, this is the experience my family and I had - They were quick on assigning us a table, the person who received us, quite kind and efficient - After waiting for 15 mins or so, there was no sight of someone to bring or tell us the menu, we had to go to the nearest table for the carte. - When the waitress arrived, we ordered some eggs me sandwiches, she took note and left. After some time she came back with one plate, we would’ve shared of said plate if on the table was any cutlery, we weren’t served forks, knifes or napkins, so we had to ask her for them, it again took time 👌🏻 - The eggs were served with some chips that appeared burnt and after waiting some more time, about 30 mins, no other plate was on our table. We then had to ask for clean glasses and I asked for my sandwich to be cancelled, seeing that it was taking so long. - After that, we tried the eggs, which were not so good, we asked to cancel the other eggs and to bring instead another sandwich. The waitress was loosing her patience, told us that it was a problem from the kitchen’s side, that she only served and that’s it. In my humble opinion, when in teams, it doesn’t cut it to criticise your own people, it’s about unity to provide the best service and have a good working environment. - I took a quick trip to the bathroom, wasn’t able to use it tho. There were four stalls and a baby changing table, the floor was sticky, there was piss in some WC and dirty paper over the table. - When I arrived back, we asked to speak with someone who wasn’t so irritated at our requests, the person who attended us was extremely polite and that’s one of her reasons our experience here was not a total disaster. We cancelled everything except the water and waited for the note. -Since no one came to tell us what to pay, we stood up and went to the nearest waiter to ask for it. He asked his colleague for it, the waitress that had attended us was visibly angry and tried to debate the issues we had. A scene was about to begin when the manager stepped in and tried to ease tensions, he succeeded but the waitress answered in a very poorly mannered way. - We were invited to the water by the manager and he apologised profusely. They’ve had issues since the afternoon since one of their teammates fell doing laundry. Im taking some time into writing this review because truly this experience was not the best, if I were to read this review I would guess it’s from a motel or small restaurant, yet this is supposed to be a renowned place. Sadly dissatisfied and disappointed to be honest, we hope change comes to this lovely 19th century building.

Todavía y desde hace mas de una semana estoy esperando una factura , en forma, es decir con el IVA desglosado, me dan el Tiket y dicen que con eso basta Me dicen que en ese caso seria duplicidad de cobro y seria ILEGAL. Les he dicho que consulten con su asesor fiscal y me dicen que así se lo dicen en su gestoría.

Habitación con cama matrimonio dos personas, una toalla para baño lavabo. Los enganches del baño se caen y mal amarrados. .el grifo ducha imposible de poner sujeto a la pared. El pequeño jabón de manos y los dos gelecitos de ducha. En resumen buen personal, incomparable situación, pero precios de 2024 con mobiliario y decoración 1970.

Como el Ayuntamiento de San Lorenzo consciente que un sitio tan emblemático esté en las condiciones en la que está. Cincuenta y cinco minutos para dos chocolates con picatostes. El camarero venezolano entiendo que no le paguen y que esté enfadado pero una falta de respeto impresionante. Doce euros carísimo sucio un trato horroroso por favor que no acuda a nadie tiene que tomar medidas el Ayuntamiento es una vergüenza que trato qué horror de lo peor de mi vida
