Ulasan Hotel El Descanso

A hotel above two restaurants a block away from the main streets. There were some small critters but otherwise good bang for buck. There was a ceiling fan with 3 settings. My toilet seat did not have the cover though.

Good and cheap for one night if you going from/to airport. Bus stop nearby. 2 cafes right downstairs of hotel so it’s convenient to have breakfast before you check out. Hotel workers are friendly and helpful

Totally scam. Don’t go there.

The single room is cheap, but it only has room for one bed and lacks storage space. However, the bathroom looks pretty fresh and the WiFi signal is strong. The room is internal with windows opening to the corridor and lacks privacy. The mattresses and pillows were not good, the TV was broken, and there were cockroaches. Suitable for people who want to save money and only come back at night to shower and sleep.

When I made the reservation, I saw that the room was 20 square meters. When I arrived, I felt it was only about 10 to 12 square meters, which was quite disappointing. The double room we booked had a small bed and a small room. There are no chairs either. Usually I can only sit on the bed. Fortunately the layout is good. The surrounding environment is average. Transportation is basically by walking (the attractions are not too far away, 1.7 to 2 kilometers away from the National Museum). The service staff has a good attitude. Although he didn't speak English, he was very active in answering our questions with a translator.

The boss is nice, but it's a pity that I don't speak Spanish.

I highly recommend this hotel. It’s located in downtown San Jose Costa Rica. The staff are excellent. It’s walkable anywhere you want to go shopping, food, museums. It’s a very nice hotel. This is the second time that I have stayed here and I have not been disappointed either times. I highly recommend them as I stated before you won’t be disappointed. They also have two restaurants attached to the hotel perfect!🤩

I highly recommend this hotel. It is a quaint little hotel in downtown San Jose Costa Rica. The staff themselves were fabulous, very helpful in many ways, kept everything nice and clean and looking great. I will say it was a little noisy on my side only because I had the traffic side. Other than that, it was great. It’s well located within walking distance from downtown San Jose to the shopping areas, the Cathedral and the theater. There’s plenty of places to go for food so that is a plus and it’s definitely walkable to just about everywhere you can think of. I highly recommend them. They’re very, very good.
