I stayed 8 nights at this motel because my boss chose it, so I had no choice. It was amazingly bad and it cost about $150 a night The first night I first checked in, there was no toilet paper. Sorry, says management, and brought two rolls. There was no hot water. Sorry, says management; we’ll look into it tomorrow. I had driven a thousand miles and was sick, so I was looking forward to a hot shower, but not that night, or the next morning. The first night, the gunshots kept me up. When I asked management in the morning, they said it didn’t happen on most nights. It was generally just on club nights. That, and the street racers flying around the block until the wee hours of the morning. So, no toilet paper, no shower and no sleep. Other than that, it still ******. The following nights were also interesting. Guests with stereos cranked up so high it shook my room. When I called the front desk, the 500 pound clerk said he couldn’t hear it, and he wasn’t able to walk down to hear it for himself, so too bad. First the good. - This is an old motel that has been remodeled and the decor is quite nice. Great paint, carpet and decorations. - There was a small refrigerator and a microwave that seemed nice. - Lots of USB spots on the desk and night stand, along with a USB spider with every kind of charging cable included. - Nice secure courtyard for parking. Now the bad. - Most days there was no hot water. Every morning when I’d call the office, a guy would come down and walk into to my shower to confirm my story, then check the room next door. He wouldn’t believe me or explain why the room next door had anything to do with my hot water. Generally it worked in the evening, but not always. - The walls and door were scuffed and dinged badly. - One of the rooms I was in had the door jimmied at some point, and I could see outside with the door closed; the security lock was missing. Definitely anything but secure. - The remote control wasn’t made for the TV, so most of the buttons did nothing, and the guide on the screen had nothing to do with the programming, so there was no way to figure out what you wanted to watch except to scroll through every single channel every single time. - There were no towel bars, so once you used a towel, there was no place to put the wet towels. - The shower leaked lukewarm water all over the floor every single time I was able to use it. - The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. - The shower valve fell off in my hand every time I used it – for the lukewarm water. - The AC was intermittent and the digital temperature display had very little to do with what the AC was doing. Sometimes it was very cold, sometimes it wasn’t. - The internet stopped working every day. You had to call a tech support number and they didn’t know much; I ended up using my phone as a hotspot. - The room phone didn’t work. The volume was so low, I had to use my cell phone to call the office. So if
