Apartamentos Mar Blau

The apartments are clean, tidy and well equipped. Reception staff very friendly and helpful, well maintained gardens and beautiful views. I would however not recommend staying here if you have children, very much had an adults only feel to it. No atmosphere and plenty of looks and “tutting” dare anyone make a noise or splash in the pool. Such a shame as this is no reflection of the apartments or staff .

We stayed here for 12 nights in August and it was lovely. Upon arrival our room wasn't quite ready as we were early but we sat by the pool and the man at reception helpfully came to find us when we could have the keys. The rooms are clean and have what you need. The small kitchenette has fridge, kettle, oven, microwave with basic pots and pans and washing up liquid. The rooms are swept and beds made daily. Every apartment has two sun beds and table & chairs outside on the patio. Also a washing line to hang wet swim wear. The snack bar opens at 11 by the pool and does good food, lovely sunsets in the evening too. Pool table available - 2 euros to play one game. The pool itself is great for kids (we had a 3 year old and 6 year old), as it is on a slope so the younger ones can play and stand without it being too deep. Also a small separate baby pool. There isn't loads and loads of sun beds around the pool but we never had any trouble getting beds when we wanted them. You can borrow a parasol from reception to take to the beach which was great. There is also a book library in reception with so many books you can borrow - lots in both English and Dutch. Our apartment was lower down on reception level, no problem, but if we came again and had the choice would ask for a room on pool level as better views. We even came across a little tortoise outside our apartment at dusk, quite common apparently as near the wetlands. Quiet location, not at all noisy, very peaceful and chilled. 5 min walk to the supermarket, 15 mins walk to the centre of son bou and 20 mins to the beach. If you have a car, lots of parking immediately outside the apartments. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay here again

Just back from a 2 week stay at these lovely apartments More like a little bungalow Lovely and spotlessly clean Nice grounds Added bonus of 2 sun beds on patio Lovely swimming pool area and good snack bar Wifi is excellent better than what I have at home Cleaners came in everyday and the reception staff were polite and helpful Small supermarket nearby which sells everything that is needed Really enjoyed my stay here would definitely return It’s like a little hidden gem in menorca

Pair of OAP’s thoroughly enjoying these self catering villas with the one we were staying essentially a one bedroom bungalow. The Villa has its private space equipped with a table and 2 chairs and 2 sunbeds. Although only a 3 star this is solely because there is no kids club entertainment or gym. Perfect for us oldies and essentially adults only though not in name. The pictures do not do the place justice as the grounds are beautifully maintained. The swimming pool also looks lovely with step in access. There are no facilities for children apart from a couple of seesaw type equipment. I would not recommend for families other than babies. The grounds are set in a residential area and apart from the on site snack bar there is another similar type place 5-10 minute walk away is about it. 10-15 minute walk away there is a bakery and chemist. Another 10 minutes further on is the centre where all the cafes and restaurants are and access to the beach. No tabacs shop open till June.. Nearest is Aliaor 20 minutes away by bus . Further on is Mahon known as Mao which is a nice place to visit. Bus stop just round the corner from hotel . Turn right leaving hotel and bus stop turn left on other side of road bus 32. The cafe beach and town left after leaving villa. The actual villa contains a bedroom adequate size with wardrobes containing safe 3 euros per day plus 5 euros deposit and the usual tourist tax of about 3 euros per night. All facilities you would expect in a self catering establishment.Fridge Oven and in the bathroom a powerful shower. None of this would you call modern but everything spotlessly clean. I would thoroughly recommend.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean apartment with nice sea view. Could provide a bottle of water on arrival , some shower gel and shampoo and washup liquid. Doesn't have nets on any window so flies and mosquitoes enter indoors so you have to keep windows closes always... wifi not working most of the times. Could do well with some new frying pans and other kitchen accessories that are worn and outdated. No hairdryer in the room unless you ask at the reception.

We first stayed at these apartments in June 2019 and planned to return in 2020 but didn't make it until September 2022 but it was definitely worth the wait! The apartments are lovely and are cleaned daily and have every thing you need for self catering. The setting is superb and all the surrounding gardens and pool area are extremely well maintained. There were plenty of sunbeds around the pool at any time during the day and no one left towels on them and disappeared for the day! All the staff are friendly and very helpful but a big shout out to Arros the receptionist (apologies if I've spelt his name wrong!) who went above and beyond! There is also a restaurant on site which does lovely food and they will also deliver to your apartment. Will definitely return!! Thanks to all for a wonderful stay!!
