Not long back from this small holiday complex & just to be fair I have rebooked but with slight amendments from my recent visit. Before I give the good & not so good lists I do think they are missing a few tricks here to improve the holiday experience. Firstly, I think it should be advertised as an Adult Only hotel!!..reason being that it practically is anyway & very little for kids anyway. Secondly, the free shuttle bus is a bonus but it stops at 8pm, so why not charge say 2 Euros per trip per person with one bus at 11pm & one at Midnight that way patrons can enjoy a good night in Son Bou, especially as there is nothing to do at the hotel. Lastly, lovely big modern tv's but not one single English channel so a laptop is a must & bring a hdmi lead for downloaded films etc....but maybe the hotel could sort out even some basic uk channels?? Ok, the good things :- Very comfy, very deep, kingsize memory foam mattress with feather pillows & even some spare in the fitted wardrobes. Lovely room with plenty of cutlery, plates, bowls, side plates glasses etc etc...microwave & hob but no oven. Very peaceful & quiet location. Plenty of sunbeds & plenty of space around the pool. Nice spacious dining room & terrace, with plenty space between tables, unlike some cattle market dining experiences I have encountered in larger hotels. Good, well stocked supermarket on the doorstep. It really is the best place if you just come away to chill & recharge your batteries, so much so I have just rebooked, The not so good things :- The food!!....breakfast, very basic & cold, no matter what time of the morning you arrive. Dinner, although tasty enough, what was there, very little choice and rarely fresh vegetables. Location, it is in a very quiet "end of town" location, so not ideal if you have mobility issues, especially on the walk back.....but...if there are upto 4 of you you can get a taxi back from the town for 7 euros. The Staff, some were brilliant but certain ones were very miserable & I was made to feel very awkward on the Eve of my 60th Birthday when 5 members of my family paid me a surprise visit, all were booked as half board, I informed Reception that they would be a bit late but it took ages for them to check in. I went into the restaurant by myself to explain that the receptionist was told of there late arrival & was met by some very angry exchanges between the restaurant manager & the chefs & made to feel very uncomfortable. I was told it wouldn't be an issue but it definitely was. I was in at 9.20pm & it didn't close until 9.30pm, however, everything was cleared away!!. Eventually we got plates with a tiny bit of salad leaves, a slice of cheese & a slice of ham given to us. For 21 euros a day evening meal?? Anyhoo.....messages obviously not getting passed on but I am going back but just B&B this time as there is a decent supermarket outside the front door of the hotel & I did have some very comfy, restful catch-up on my sleep.
