Beautiful facility with the most accommodating staff. The kitchen and dining room were excellent with the freshest options and local dishes. Recommend highly the Birding Tour with Jason. Jason was outstanding, definitely worth getting up early for. Jason was able to identify individual birds in a forest full of birds before the “Merlin App” could register even one song. Kayaking, exploring caves and hiking was so much fun with all ages joining in, 70 years young to 14 years old had a great time. The tour guides were so knowledgeable it was like hiking with your favorite professor. We will definitely be back. A week is not long enough to enjoy all the area has to offer.

A gem in the country side. This was a fabulous experience, the staff were warm and welcoming and the service was great. There is little to no noise pollution at this hotel. I would recommend this hotel for those who are seeking to get away from the busy life style.

I stayed in San Ignacio for six days, both for professional and vacation reasons. My group had a lovely stay, and the staff were welcoming and did their best to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. There is a concierge that can arrange various tours for you. The restaurant has amazing food. If you are lucky enough, you may be able to get a picture of the howler monkey. There are a couple of toucans that hang out by the swimming pool area. It's about a 10-minute walk downhill to the town, but it may be steep for others walking back up. No worries! There are many taxis available in town to take you back. I highly recommend the San Ignacio Hotel.

The San Ignacio Resort Hotel is perfect. Great location, lovely good, friendly staff, marvelous facilities and on top an eco friendly Iguana sanctuary! Everything you would ask for in a good standard hotel, the walk up the hill is a little tiring but worth it.

Our stay was exceptional. Very attentive and proactive staff, ready to assist us both in transfers and on tours. Comfortable, clean, spacious room, amenities such as coffee, tea, water, refrigerator. Bathroom with great shower and sink. The restaurant is excellent, with a beautiful view of the mountains, at the same height as the tree canopy. Impeccable service in the restaurant, delicious typical Belizean breakfast, as well as appetizers and gourmet dinner dishes, especially seafood. Very interesting to learn about the iguana protection project. The hotel is immersed in vegetation and we were able to see monkeys, toucans, hummingbirds, iguanas and many birds. Well located, close to the central market of San Ignacio, as well as a pharmacy, market and atm. We highly recommend it.

This hotel was just fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful and did everything they could to make your stay pleasant. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean with a lot of history behind it. The restaurant had good food and the view on the balcony while eating was extremely relaxing. Certainly will be back for business.

What a wonderful resort!! We were treated like royalty at San Ignacio. Every employee we encountered greeted us with a smile and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and so enjoyable. They provided transportation for us that was stress free and right on time every time. Another bonus, for our family, was its proximity to the Xunantunich Ruins. (Which we booked as an add on and this was very convenient) Our family would highly recommend this Belize resort.

Pure comfort and excellent service from the moment I checked in with Vashti at the front desk until the moment I left with Carla and Cruz helping me down the steps from the Honeymoon Suite. The resort is lovely. The food is A1. I didn't have a single food item there that wasn't utterly delicious. Carla was my butler for the time that I was there and if I could've stayed there forever, I would have. She is a true gem. I honestly plan to return just for the excellent treatment that she bestowed upon me. My room (Honeymoon suite) was very nice and well-appointed. I slept comfortably and serenely minus keeping an eye open for mosquitos (comes along with any visit to the Caribbean) and the little lizard that was keeping me company in my room (they're harmless and eat the mosquitos, so Mr. Lizard & I decided to keep the peace between us). The cleanliness in the room was the only drawback. It was not terrible at all, but cobwebs were in quite a few places (including around the base of the TV), along with thicker dust under most of the furniture in the room. Also, there was a bit of a layer of duct on the drinks inside the mini-fridge, it's possible they haven't been swapped out in quite awhile. Nonetheless, still a lovely property. The absolute best ceviche I've ever had and the best butler EVER! And the front desk staff was awesome at helping us plan, get transportation to and from excursions and restaurants. If you do venture to San Ignacio Resort, take advantage of the Honeymoon suite and ask for Carla if you have a butler. And tip her exceedingly well - she deserves it! :-)
