At the main street, neighborhood feels safe with bus stations and good restaurants nearby - downside is the occasional noise from traffic or other rooms. They do provide ear plugs tho. Old hotel style but overall clean. Amenities very basic. Bit surprised that they don't have laundry room.

Pentry is too small, other than that it is ok

We loved this hotel. Very friendly, it's a bit of a youth hostel type: there are large rooms on the ground floor where young guests meet to chat. The look of the rooms is also very 50's. Very well located, we walked to get dinner in Little Italy (cardio guaranteed!) at The Italian Homemade Company - I recommend! I will stay there again, that’s for sure! The staff was super nice and indoor parking on site - we appreciated :-)

The room has a lot of space, the bed is clean, and the roommates are of high quality. It's a great check-in experience!

The bathrooms and toilets are very clean, and the staff at the counter are very enthusiastic and friendly. The breakfast provided is also rich (crisps, fresh milk, tea, coffee, fruit, yogurt). It is close to the bus station, and there are no homeless people wandering around. The only downside is probably that the room is a little old, and there will be a smell when you first enter

It was in a great location, close to the tourist area and close to the bus stop. The room has three bunk beds, two chairs, a locker for valuables, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. The bed had blackout curtains on the top and bottom, which were very easy to close, and it was simple and comfortable enough for just sleeping. The valuables locker could be locked if you had your own padlock, and it was not like the lockers in Boston where you store your bags and clothes, but only small handbags and valuables. Breakfast was free and consisted of cereal, yogurt, bananas, etc. The staff was very friendly and I would definitely use the hotel again if I have the chance to go again.

I did not like the hostel experience, too many people, too noisy, bed too small, the bathroom and shower area not clean despite that, the people were very nice and the location is perfect. The breakfast did not have a lot of choice and I waited more than an hour for the check-in because the woman at the reception had to take care of the logistics of the hostel.

The hostel is near port 39 or Longbard, so you can walk, and the Golden Gate bus is nearby, so you can go there comfortably. It was tidy inside, and the bed was nice because it was a bunk bed and was soft.
