Hotel Belvedere Playa Samara Costa Rica

Great hotel at an excellent value. I lucked out and received a little cabin detached from the main building. Totally surprised by the accomodations with a pool right outside my door. The location was in town and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Samara. The room was clean and the amenities were great. I would definitey come again.

Beautiful hotel in quiet area of Samara - but only 5 minute walk from the main town area and approx 10 min walk to the beach. Very comfortable good size rooms with fridge, coffee machine, TV. Lovely fresh breakfast each morning. Family run business with the personal touch - kept us some breakfast when we had very early start on Christamas Day so we could have it on our return! Really loved the tropical gardens and the personal touches - have body boards for rent at reception and provided towels and shower facility after checkout so we could go to the beach on our last day before our afternoon pickup. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Samara.

I had an AMAZING INTERACTIVE NATURE EXPERIENCE IN THIS QUIET BOUTIQUE HOTEL! I had the best views of monkeys, birds, and iguanas ON THE PROPERTY! The property is immaculate! Lush flora is everywhere! A quick walk to the beach and markets! I FELT VERY SAFE WALKING around at night! So many great food choices before you even hit the beach spots! A left turn takes you to Casa Esmerelda, which is a great Soda! I enjoyed a great breakfast personally made for me daily! I am grateful to the owners WHO HELPED PULL OFF A TERRIFIC 60 th BIRTHDAY SURPRISE FOR ME! My travel agent Costa Rica Traveling Tours by Amanda booked my stay there initially. She then worked with the owners and my family to SURPRISE ME THERE ON THE LAST LEG OF MY 13 DAY TRIP! Unforgettable! There's a mini supermarket and a small shopping plaza directly across the street from the hotel! There's fabulous ice cream and CAKES BY CHRISTIE! There's several markets and shopping options within 5 minutes walk. The roads can be rocky. An ATV or 4x4 is best! The ATV tour was right at the corner and afterwards I rented an ATV for the next morning. Thanks Tony! I rode 100km from the hotel, to Nicoya and over to Nosara! I had a chance to check out the numerous Hostels and hotels. I ended up LOVING Hotel Belvedere for its ambiance and luxury for the money!

Spotless room and the entire property very well-maintained. Super close to restaurants and the beach. Very comfy bed. In-room fridge and coffee maker, coffee available all day in the lobby as well. Very reasonable rates. Be aware the front desk closes at 6, and I had difficulty reaching anyone on the phone. No ice machine.

We got very lucky and found this place just when we needed it! As 50+ ye olds we were staying at a hostel with young people and no air! It was also very run down. We managed 3 nights and checked into this beautiful hotel. The landscaping and plants are just amazing. Also had a beautiful pool and A/C! Monfred owns this gem and he has been there 30 years. Very close to town. 5 min walk but quiet location. Perfect spot!!

We were at a hostel with no a/c for two nights, very primitive so we changed to this place. Omg! It’s beautiful! Private, clean and so relaxing. Monty saved the day by getting us in the room ASAP. The pool is amazing and overall a great stay!! Totally changed my opinion of Samara!
