Super disappointed with this place. Rooms are run down, over priced, and a bit “scammy”. - Beds are horribly uncomfortable. Have tiny pillows, brutal mattresses, and make a noise every time you move. - The rooms are in disrepair. Holes in the wall, and not fully functioning. In our room the sliding door didn’t lock most of the time, toilet was clogged, linens were ragged, and there was construction items laying across the floor (screws, drywall anchors, drywall dust, etc). - It’s not all inclusive. Scam advertising. Drinks are wildly expensive and made with poor ingredients. - Ordered a drink at the swim up bar and was charged $6. Great! When they asked me to sign off, the bartender had scribbled off the $6 and wrote $12. Never said a thing to me about it. It was well liquor, watered down, and mostly ice. - The resort is concerningly empty for high season. A huge resort and only a handful of elderly Canadian couples. No atmosphere, not well lit at night, weird vibes. Seems like it only exists as part of a package for Canadian travel agencies. - Getting to downtown is a pain. A shuttle would be a great options but not offered. There is no uber in Samara, the cabs stop running at 9pm, and it’s unsafe to walk the beach at night. - Some of the staff members were indifferent at best. The male server at breakfast was openly hostile. Rolled eyes with coffee requests, etc. very odd. - As a single plus (reason for two stars). The beach is really pleasant with very easy access. Stay elsewhere. Seems like they couldn’t care less. Rooms are crumbling. Beach and Samara are wonderful to visit!
