I loved this place! I’ve read bad reviews but honestly I think North American travellers are ridiculous in their expectations. The staff are all lovely helpful people. Christian at the restaurant was absolutely outstanding with his service and energy! He knew how travellers expect to be treated. I loved our villa room steps from the beach, no stairs, elevators or anything that resembled that typical condo /cafeteria style mega resorts. The grounds were beautiful. The beach was excellent for walking with lots of places to stop and grab a drink. Samara town is beautiful and full of local activities and incredible places to eat. You feel safe . Yes, sure there are few things that could be improved as the resort transitions to being an al inclusive marketed to North Americans. But they have staff issues just like we do. If you needed anything they were quick to respond when asked nicely. It quaint, homey, easy to talk to people and make acquaintances. The pool is lovely. Air Transat is also an excellent tour company and airline. Zero issues. I would recommend this vacation package all day long ! Had an excellent experience. When you arrive, visit the buffet and you will meet Christiam, whi made us feel welcome and taken care if immediately. He is part of the wait staff and was the best. He remembers everyone's name and makes you feel like you are home and family. He never even let a drop of water sit on the table, always cleaning and taking care of everything for everyone. As someone who has years of experience in yhe hospitality industry I appreciate goid service, which is often hard to find. Christiam knows how to take care if people and the restaurant with a smile on his face the whole time. An All star employee makes for a great vacation, we wish we could take him home to train all of our restaurant staff on customer service. Will go back.

Quick summary. Would NEVER stay at this hotel to recommend this hotel to anyone. If you consider staying please read this long review that i was dreading to write. It very important as you don’t want to be surprised when you get there and waste your money. Positives: 1. It’s gated 2. Has beach access with some chair although next to red ant piles 3. AC works 4. Landscape is nice. Overall negatives: 1. Dirty 2. Oddly quiet 3. Didn’t feel comfortable

Starting with the positive side this is a nice small hotel to stay for a few nights, its villas, pools and overall facilities are good, clean and family welcoming, HOWEVER their concept of all inclusive is far from good and below normal expectations, they only have 1 restaurant for all meal times and their meals menu is limited to 3-4 options, their snacks are pretty much on demand with limited options, their drinks are good but again limited licor brands and they kinda change times the bar and pool bar are open until. If you are looking for an all inclusive resort this NOT your place, but still a good option to stay for a few nights with standard service. Samara is a nice beach with a great sunset view, you can also visit Carillo (5min drive) which in my opinion is one of best beaches in South Guanacaste.

Do not stay here. I don’t know why the Canadian tour companies still promotes this hotel in their offerings. The food was repetitive and not very good. There was a giant iguana around the dining area on the first day, it left a mess. By day 3 the mess still hadn’t been cleaned up. We ended up leaving the hotel and booking into the sister hotel Azure next door to salvage our vacation. Cost us extra since we had to pay for new rooms, but it was worth it.

We spent a wonderful week at this hotel. A very beautiful place! White houses buried in flowers and exotic plants. Clean spacious room, with daily cleaning and fresh towels,AC. There was a problem with hot water, but it was quickly resolved by Naum Flores and Denis.At breakfast and lunch we were greeted with a smile by Husel, Roger,Kandall and Fresia. They created a pleasant and kind atmosphere.Since it is now low season,we were kindly offered to visit the restaurants of Azura. Here we were surrounded with care and attention by Steven, Jass Tatiana,Jose,Likiry.We express special gratitude to the all cooks of the both resorts. All dishes are very tasty and beautiful presented. The work of professionals. Live music every night.Super! A wonderful beach with an endless coastline and a warm ocean. We thank all the staff for a wonderful vacation. For everyone who loves good service, delicious food, good rest, this place for you.But don't forget to bring mosquito repellent.

Our stay was great. We stayed in one of the villas. Staff were super friendly and they were always happy to go the extra mile to make our vacation extra special. Fressia welcomed us for breakfast every day at the restaurant with a big smile for us and our girls. She was amazing with our girls. Food was great. Rolo at the beach club was very kind and friendly. Lunch at the beach club was amazing and dining right in front of the beach was paradise. Facilities are very well-kept and clean, pool is big and safe for kids, decor is beautiful. We will come back ❤️

The staff were amazing . So attentive and helpful. Especially Fressia she made us feel so welcome. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. Quick walk to the beach . The weather was rainy but we still had a great time. Did horse riding and 4 wheelers while we were here

It’s an incredible resort with a wonderful beach and delicious food at the restaurants. We were lucky to eat at the Azur resort next door as there was enough people visiting the Villas. We were upgraded to an excellent villas with kitchenette, living room and bedroom with bedroom. The staff are friendly, accommodating and professional. The Thai “Tao” restaurant was delicious. No complaints at this resort. I recommend walking to the next beach 10 min to Carillo beach as it had clear water and an enjoyable beach. We will return to this resort .
