"I had the opportunity to experience the service at FLC and felt very satisfied. From the time of booking until the end of the vacation, everything went smoothly and professionally. The staff was friendly, enthusiastic in supporting and always ready to meet the needs of guests. The resort is designed in a modern style, with a cool and clean green space, bringing a feeling of absolute relaxation. The rooms are spacious, fully equipped, cleaned regularly and very neat. The buffet breakfast has a variety of dishes, delicious flavors and beautifully presented. The swimming pool and beach area are well managed, ensuring safety and hygiene. I was especially impressed with the on-site recreational activities such as the spa, pickleball court and children's play area, which are very suitable for the whole family. I did not encounter any problems during my vacation, all services operated smoothly and exceeded expectations. FLC is truly an ideal destination for relaxation after stressful working days. I will definitely come back and recommend to friends and relatives to experience."

"Checked in at 4pm, booked 3 rooms but oh my god when I walked in 2 rooms were not cleaned, the floor was full of sand, baby diapers and pillows were all over the room. The next day while I was sleeping, the power went out, the hotel did not give any notice or anything so that the guest could have other plans, while sleeping it was too hot and had to wake up. Before arriving, I called to ask if the hotel issued invoices, the hotel said yes but the next day when I checked out, the receptionist said no, forced me to go to trip to issue invoices :) What a terrible experience"

"Not being maintained very well. We had the 2 deluxe connected rooms. When asking for drinks at the bar, multiple things were not available. Similar situation in terms of the spa service. A lot of mosquitoes. Last night there we heard rats running on the roof. However the food was decent, and the room was clean. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the garden."

"Since FLC Sam Son was first developed, I believe it has played an important role in changing the face of tourism in Sam Son. Now in 2026, after our guests (500 guests) staying across the Luxury Building, Grand Hotel and Luxury Resort villas, I am impressed that the property is still very well maintained. For a large event of around 500 guests, I would especially recommend FLC Sam Son. The ballroom has several strong advantages: * High ceiling * Large, wide and well-shaped stage area * Fully carpeted ballroom and a lighting system that can be controlled by phone, which is very convenient for professional events * Good banquet food During our stay, we also experienced the guest rooms, breakfast, Gala dinner, team-building area and other facilities. Overall, I would confidently give FLC Sam Son 9/10 and 5-star hotel. And one of the things I appreciate most is the people here. The FLC Sam Son team is proactive and supportive. Instead of making things difficult, they always try to find a way to help and make things easier for the guests and organisers. "Disappointing stay, services not as promised. Checked into an unclean room with old bed linens, hair on the floor, only one towel and one mug despite booking for 2 people. Had to request replacements at reception. When asking about breakfast (included in booking), staff said it wouldn't be available. Kitchen was closed. Trip.com support was contacted, but first day had no breakfast at all. Second day, it came in a plastic box without tea or coffee (see photo). Out of all Vietnam hotels, this is the only one getting a bad review—services completely failed to match the listing."

"Despite the description, there was no buffet breakfast. We had to order the day before, either chicken, beef or vegetable noodle soup. It was served with some sliced melon at a pre arranged time. The restaurant was not really open either, the cook (I think) spoke to us and offered a couple of dishes, we had the stir fried seafood noodles with some stir fried morning glory (a type of spinach). The noodles were very nice. There was no bar/cafe operating in the hotel in the 3 days we were there. It is quite a way from town, and the nearest ATM (about 2km). They do not take credit cards or foreign currency, so you will have to cash up on dong. Nobody seems to speak any English although it says they do on their site. The room with ‘balcony’ doesn’t actually connect to it. Overall, it was ok, but I wouldn’t stay again."

"If you’d like to immerse yourself in domestic Vietnamese holiday culture, this is the place to go. Sam Son isn’t exactly geared for westerners like some other north Vietnam coastal destinations, but if you can handle being a bit on the edge, keep reading. Yes, it’s a 3hr drive from Hanoi, but hire cars are a reasonably priced option to get you there. It’s totally worth it if you’re the type to leave your expectations behind and just want something different to experience. Van Chai has a few rough edges, but really just a beautiful setting with heaps of rustic charm and character. The accommodations are probably sub-3 star to a westerner, but the experience is 5 star, due to the amenities, service and food. We were a bit critical about some of its shortfalls for the first few days (we stayed 9), then we found ourselves falling in love with it. Everyone is so friendly and, well, if you like seafood, you’ll probably not want to leave. The seafood here is insane (coming from an Aussie who lives in a fishing town). Just remember to leave your expectations behind, stay at least a week, get a massage or 3 and forget about the world you left behind. Perhaps avoid local school holidays 😁 also, the local beaches aren’t great, but the on-site pools are. Special mention to Thuy who made sure our every need was attended to 💕"
