"Excellent, good value hotel about 1km from main Plaza opposite railway station. Great location, close to restaurants/bars. Very clean, super rooms, not too big but modern and well furnished. Free parking out front and plentiful police patrolling, but super safe city anyway."

"I stayed with my girlfriend in June. It was a total disappointment. The hotel is old and it looks run down. The room we got was assigned incorrectly and they gave us single beds instead of double beds. We asked for a change but they said they didn't have any. Also, the window was broken and couldn't be closed. The water in the shower took several minutes to heat up and had little pressure. The air conditioning didn't cool, which was annoying since we had days with 29 degrees. The breakfast is small and with very little variety. We had breakfast at 7am and there was usually a lack of replenishment of products and it took a long time to clean the few tables there. The hotel is supposed to have a garage but it was always occupied, without even being able to park at the door to bring down the suitcases comfortably. Instead, they send you to a parking lot that is 2 blocks away, which does not open on Sundays or holidays, so you have to look for a key at the hotel, open it and then return the key. The hallways to the rooms have lights that only work on a schedule, between 7pm and 6am, outside of this time the only light available is from the emergency exit sign; something I have never seen in another hotel. The attention of the people at the front desk was awful, from the first day we asked to change beds or rooms and they told us it was not possible, that they did not know if there was another room. They could not tell us if it was possible to request late check out either, we had to ask shift by shift and they always told us that we should ask another receptionist at another time. No employee was able to give us an answer. It is a cheap hotel, which does not comply with what it advertises."

"We stayed only 2 nights! Very good location, comfortable mattresses and pillows, internet a little slow. It meets the price-quality ratio. Both days we left at 6 am for excursions so we didn't have breakfast, they could only offer us hot water, which sometimes in other places they give you at least a piece of toast or tea at least. In our case, we were on the mezzanine in a room that overlooked the garage, so some door slamming could be heard. It's not bad, it fulfills the purpose of going to rest after discovering the wonders of Salta."

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at Colonial Hotel, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The staff were welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with stunning views of the main square . I also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which offered a wide variety of delicious options in well decorated room. The hotel's location was perfect, just on a main square. Overall, I highly recommend Oceanview Hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. I can't wait to return!"

Hotel Posada Del Sol

"It needs a renovation. The first room they offered me was old. Old furniture, closet with a musty smell, reasonable bathroom, not even a rack for suitcases. I asked for an exchange for a newer one. This one was bigger, but the bathroom needs renovation. Floors already worn and grout in need of replacement or cleaning with chlorine. I stayed for 3 nights, and returned 2 days later for 1 night. The room was smaller, and the curtain, I had to choose, either close in the middle or in the corner, I had to tape it up to have privacy. The small bathroom, tiny sink, sitting on the toilet I had to rest my arms on my knees, the sink was touching my shoulders. Very basic breakfast. No fruit or hot options, like eggs. It's worth the kindness and friendliness of the reception. Everyone was great! It's also worth it for the location. One block from 9 de Julho square."

"Breakfast in your room. Parking and free laundry. Our room had a full kitchen as well. We were only there for one night before driving through the rest of the province. Quiet and clean. Great view of the city and the mountain chair lift."

"Would not recommend based on the fact that the mattresses seem to be very old pillows were not comfortable in the rooms haven’t seen a renovation in my guess of 15 to 20 years. Location however, is very good and for that I would recommend a visit."

"The check in process was very smooth other than that I had requested early check in but arrived in time for the general 3pm check in and the room still wasn’t ready. The room has everything you need even a smart tv you can connect to Netflix. The kitchen hob and oven seemed to be removed but it was perfect for the night. There was a good fitness room and gym and Ubers into town were very cheap."
