The reception/ owner (later we found out from the tour guide) told me to call the tour guide to help us. He came and checked the room with me when I insisted, then he changed the room for us. "Very bad experience, I recommend everyone to stay at Hyatt, the service and facilities are much better. This Marriott is very old. Facilities: 1. The elevator creaks and is shaky. 2. The soundproofing of the room is poor, and the screaming of the children next door really affects the rest. Service is terrible: 1. The housekeeping knocked on the door frantically before 9 o'clock. 2. I booked this hotel two days in advance. When I checked in, the black lady kept saying that she couldn't find the hotel I booked. She told me the confirmation number again and again before she helped me find it. However, her attitude was much better when she met the white man in front 😅"

"Located near Salt Lake City Airport, about a 5-minute drive, it's on the same street as all other hotels near the airport, so the distance doesn't matter which one you book. The front desk staff at check-in and check-out were unfriendly. I watched as the two guests ahead of me (white) each received two complimentary bottles of water, but when it was my turn, there were none. They didn't even offer me any cookies. I watched her until she left before she finally asked if I wanted any. Even though the chocolate cookies weren't very good, how could they not offer them as part of their service? When checking out, I deliberately asked again if there was any complimentary water, and they still said no. I don't know if it's for members or only for white people; nobody said. I only noticed this in the reviews, so I was cautious. The room was large but dark and unclean. There was a large gap under the door, and since it was a connecting room, there was absolutely no possibility of soundproofing. They gave me a first-floor apartment in Building 6, even though I requested a higher floor. Parking is available in front of Building 6, but it's in the innermost building. I don't know if this was intentional, but I overheard the neighbors talking mostly Chinese. That's it. Very poor value for money. For 1000, you could book anywhere."

"I stayed at bposhtels in SLC for 3 nights, though I paid for 6 nights. I was accidentally reserved for two incorrect nights. I did not get a reminder email of my stay, so I did not realize I had booked these nights incorrectly until I "failed to check in or no showed" for the first night and was emailed (while still at home and working). Then I immediately called to follow up and see what was happening, realized the error, and cancelled before the check in for the second night, but was still charged for both. I asked if I could just move over the reservation instead of being refunded but was denied. Then I was out of my budget for two nights, so I canceled my first actual correct night for my reservation to try to make up some money so I could extend my stay at the end of the reservation. However, I canceled this night AND was not refunded AND lost the reservation! So I had to sleep in a chair at the airport. When I came two hours early to check in after hanging out at the airport all morning (again after having paid for the night before which I didn't get to stay for), I was not allowed to move in to the room earlier and was not told that there was hang out space upstairs or gym showers or generally offered to be more comfortable, so I had to walk around downtown SLC in the absolute heat of the day. For the three nights I did stay at the hostel, the air conditioning would not go lower than 70 and it was hot and I did not sleep well. There was no fan. The bunk bed was the squeekiest hostel bed I ever slept in and kept waking me, and I am sure everyone else up. Overall, I was Very unimpressed and think it is ridiculous to be charged double your stay. This felt like the biggest scam of my more than a decade experience staying in countless hostels all over the world."
