Golden Avenida Family Suites

Just back from 5 nights here with my 6 year old and my mum and overall we had a brilliant time. The first night was rocky as we'd been given a room on the first floor right next to the lifts / Stairwell and the noise was unreal. Doors slamming, kids going berserk and just general noise till 2am... and then it all started up again at 6am. So we got very little sleep that night. We asked for a room change to see if it would make a difference and the staff were really understanding and accommodating! We were given a new room on the 6th floor , away from lifts and it was perfect! No more noise and we all got full night's sleep for the rest of the holiday! Rooms were clean and comfortable and cleaning staff worked their socks off. We found the beds really comfy and loved the 2 bedrooms aspect to give us space. The pool area is fantastic. My 6 year old was barely out the pool all holiday. He loved the water bubble and the reps coming with toys. We didn't have an issue at all getting loungers, but we were always out before about 9.30/ 10am. I think after that you might struggle. Food wise, we went half board and thought the food was fine. Breakfast was excellent and had lots of choice. Dinner was just OK. Choice wasn't bad, but a lot of it was luke warm at best and a wee bit repetitive even though we were only there 5 nights. Entertainment wise , it was great. They very much cater for young families which was ideal for us. My son loved the mini disco, balloon modelling etc. We never stayed late enough for the adult entertainment , but it looked good! I'd definitely consider staying here again if we came back to Salou.

First impressions of this hotel were very good. Smartest one in the vicinity. The staff were really welcoming too. We were upgraded to pool view room which had a great view. I emailed beforehand to mention we had a birthday in our party and we were chuffed to receive a complimentary bottle of fizz delivered to our room which was so nice. There was no problem getting sun loungers (until our last day when it seemed extra busy) but we found plenty of sunny and shady areas to relax. My son enjoyed the water polo and the handmade cocktails were delicious. There was a good selection of food and something for everyone. I am really missing the full English breakfast!! The hotel is in a good location near to amenities, the beach is 10 minute walk away and there’s lots of excursions to take advantage of. Would definitely recommend this hotel, particularly for families with young children

We have just returned after spending a week with our 2 children.age 2 and 8. This is the best family hotel I have ever stayed at in any part of Spain. There is so much for the children to do at the hotel from great pools to play areas to the entertainment staff who organise games for all ages. The rooms are very spacious and spotless. We were room board only so I can't comment on the food,we did have snacks from the poolside bar, lovely sandwiches which I found reasonable price. We don't normally go back to the same resort twice,however after or great experience at the AVENIDA we will definitely be returning.

This Hotel is Excellent we went with a big family young and old 3 kids aged from 12 to 5 and would definitely recommend it. All staff so friendly and helpful rooms very clean. Food was amazing lots of variety to suit everyone and snack bar during the day very handy with kids. Entertainment was excellent something for everyone throughout the day and evening the kids loved the mini disco and getting up on stage to get certificates they had won during the day. The location is perfect only a short walk to shops and beach will 100% be back

If you have young children you can’t ask for more. The hotel has thought of everything and the entertainment team are wonderful. The only comment for improvement is perhaps a outdoor stage for evening entertainment unlike other hotels all evening shows are held indoors. The food was always good with plenty of choice. We’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in Salou but in terms of rooms and facilities it can’t be beaten ! Well done Avenida

There are too many reasons to list as to why we have returned to the Golden Avenida 3 years running, but here are a few: Super family friendly, food is amazing, 3 pools including children’s pool, spacious rooms, fabulous cleaning staff, helpful staff and management at reception, great lifeguard, amazing food and friendly chefs, fantastic bar staff, brilliant children’s club and entertainment, close to all the local attractions and last but not least, my little girl wanted to give a special mention to “Alba” who greeted us every day with the biggest smile 😊. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
