La Siesta Salou Resort & Camping

Just back from 5 days at La Siesta. Absolutely fantastic stay. We had a recommendation from someone and booked. We stayed in the Caribe area and the cabin had everything! My little boy Absolutely loved the pools, slides, playground and trampolines. Biggest selling point is how close it is to the beach...literally a 5 min walk. Supermarket on site but very limited, but there is a Supermarket around the corner and plenty of bars and restaurants around. And about a 10 min walk to the main strip. We will definitely be back next year....was honestly looking at booking again for this year in the airport on the way home will definitely recommend La siesta to everyone I know. Can't wait to come back!!!!

After Corona, we made up for our church wedding this year and spontaneously went to Salou for two weeks as a second honeymoon with the children. Everything was beautiful again, our desired pitch was of course not free, but we also booked at very short notice. We met lovely people again, got to know new ones and decided to come twice a year now. This time the girls (4+2) went to the mini club alone - no problem. They love Tanja, Osmany and Marina :-) The only thing we want to complain about was the food at the Punta Cana restaurant. We ordered paella and had more than half of it go back...It just tastes like old or frozen fish, like convenience products! We have enjoyed eating there in previous years, but this time the price-performance ratio was not right for us. We are happy to pay a higher price, but it should taste good then! All in all, however, it was very nice again and we have already booked again for September. We look forward to seeing you again! ＜3

If I could this resort 0 stars I would avoid at all costs it was truly awful I would never go again! We encountered multiple problems with our accommodation. The first cabin we were allocated had major problems with black mold. This wasn’t treated mold but ‘active’ black mold which combined with air conditioning can cause very serious health problems. I pointed this out to staff on arrival but they could not move us that day, instead sending staff to try to clean the mold. I was really concerned about staying in the cabin that night as my son and wife suffer from asthma and are prone to respiratory issues. Whilst we were moved the next day, unfortunately my son contracted tonsillitis a few days later which we believe may well have been caused by the mold or faulty air conditioning in the first cabin (Caribe 24). Security arranged for a doctor to visit and prescribe antibiotics for the tonsilitus. We were moved on day 2 to a new cabin (Caribe 5) which appeared cleaner but there were still problems with the cabin. There were issues with the plumbing which needed to be fixed but of most concern was that on the first day when my daughter walked through the living room, a wooden board which should have been fixed to the side of the doorway fell on her, giving her a bruise near her eye. It seems as though the piece of wood had just been propped up against the door frame and left as a safety risk. The bungalows are poorly maintained cracked sinks moisture damage to doors rusty screws sticking out in the floor. The plants and trees surrounding the bungalows are not looked after if it’s slightly windy Ul get a scratching noise on the roof all night from the trees surrounding the bungalow. We also cancelled our evening meals half way through the holiday due to concerns that the food hadn’t been cooked properly. Two nights in a row we were served raw chicken by the chef which couldn’t be eaten. I attach a photo. The first night we raised the concern but nothing seems to have been done about it as the second night the chicken was served ‘bloody.’ I am sure you are aware that serving raw chicken in a serious health risk and luckily I checked the chicken before my daughter ate it. There’s lots of cats wondering around the site which people are using the bowls and plates from the bungalows to feed them on which is disgusting as there are no dishwashers so I just hope people are washing up properly. There’s sign everywhere saying no sunbed saving well this is a laugh as by 10am all the beds are taking with barely anyone on them. One morning we put ours towels down as everyone else was and popped to the on-site shop wen we came back 10 minutes later ours had been removed but others hadn’t can only assume it’s because we were English and most other people there are Spanish ‍♀️ I can’t fault Salou it’s a nice seaside resort I would not recommend this place to anyone it’s so expensive but very poor standards could stay in a nice hotel with higher standard

La siesta is like a second home to us at this stage, we have been going for 13 years and each year it gets better and better, the bungalows are so comfy and spotlessly clean, the staff are beyond amazing they have became our friends, we have made the most amazing memories at la siesta and we will continue our summer holidays with this campsite for as long as we can ❤️

Absolutely beautiful place. Cabin was spotlessly clean, not the biggest but has everything you’d need and a well equipped kitchen. Pool area was lovely and handy having a small supermarket on site. Visited in June and no problem getting sun loungers unlike some other places I’ve seen where people queue in the mornings to get one! Lovely relaxed atmosphere and within walking distance of the beach and all the restaurants. Highly recommend!

Amazing place couldn't fault it, we stayed in the Caribe cabins, spotless clean, very spacious, everything you needed, kids loved the hammock, entertainment was great fun, pools are fab, just a lovely family atmosphere, plenty of sun beds available daily, not overcrowded. The supermarket, bakery and little takeaway onsite was great for having a quick bite to eat by the pool
