Very good experience and very nice hotel central to all amenities. Car parking facilities is problematic but staff help finding a solution. Staff have been very supportive and always smiling. I recommend it unreservedly. I would book it again for sure

Nicely designed, modern, refurbished hotel, pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, very convenient location close to the beach and pedestrian area. Standard rooms are small but sufficient (as French rooms tend to be). However, rooms towards the street are very noisy, much more than expected for the location (small side street). There is a glass recycling container on the street, an entrance to a parking garage, and the street is uphill so cars and trucks accelerate while passing the hotel. There is a good amount of traffic throughout the day and night, including delivery vans and trucks and restaurants are dumping glass into the containers until the early morning (like, 2 am). Don't get a room towards the street unless you are tolerant of noise (windows alone don't block the noise sufficiently).

The best 3-star hotel you will find on the Cote d'Azur. We made it our home base for 7 days; spent a few nights elsewhere on our driving tour but Matisse was our favorite and most comfortable hotel. Very well thought out, clean, decorated with exhuberant Matisse themes, everything is done for the comfort of guests. A very quiet room overlooking the back terrace and pool, yet convenienty in the middle of town with restaurants, shops and the port/ Beach nearby. Staff always helpful and welcoming. A generous breakfast buffet. Parking garage across the street. One suggestion: add a grab bar to help older guests get out of the shower. We will return !

A great location for sightseeing and going by boat to St Tropez. Very nice staff at this mid size hotel. Room 209 has a view of the sea. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The price is correct for this expensive part of France.

Two winning elements with this hotel. Number one is the location. PRIME. The second is the cleanliness and bright airy feel of the rooms. Couple of areas of improvement. Number 1, the staff don’t even appear to be able to even mutter a word of English. Appreciate we are in France, but a phrase or two would be helpful if working as reception staff to assist many English speaking guests. Number 2 the air con was feeble, needs upgraded to chill the room properly for the mid summer months. The proximity to the beach and ferry port as well as the relative comfort of this place makes it a hotel I would return to. Happy trip!

A clean hotel, with simple nice marine decoration in the centre of Saint Maxime, not too noisy location. The basic room is tiny but it has everything you can need and it is good enough for a couple of days. Opposite the hotel the is a private parking but they have a few places at another parking, just 2 minutes away, A little narrow but if you want to stay local you can forget the car and walk everyday. And you also have a Regular boat service to Saint Tropez. Good breakfast, you can also opt for the speedy option with a hot drink and croissant/bakery products and marmalades and jam. Great value for money. And all the staff speak English even if they obviously prefer French!
