Airelles Château de la Messardière

The service by the hotel was really good. We enjoyed both our complimentary breakfast and lunch buffet. The hotel provide free shuttle rides to the town and private beach clubs as well. The gardens are beautiful The sauna and steam room was very hot, way above the normal spa in other hotels which are slightly strange. The pools are okay not particularly special. Dinner at the Italian restaurant in the hotel is very overpriced and food is mediocre. We had to send the carbonara back because it was inedible with the amount of salt in it. The most puzzling issue we had was actually our room is fully lighted in white light, which is not common in a 5 star luxury hotel. There was no ambient light. The bathroom looks like a hospital toilet, and the decor looks outdated. We requested to change to other rooms but the hotel said they are full. It was then we found out that some rooms have already been refurbished with better lightings, and some are still dated. It made us wonder whether they gave us an outdated room because we booked via a third party website and not direct. We had high expectations because this is a 1500 dollars stay, and we expected way more for the room. Despite liking the service, we have to say it is not value for money, and the hotel can do way better in terms of their room and restaurant.

This was our second visit to the Chateau de la Messardiere. The staff was super attentive at all times. Joel, one of the Concierges, went out of his way to be helpful. The hotel runs a free shuttle day and night to the town center and during the day to the beach (Tropezina or Tahiti). The location, views and property are stunning. The rooms are well appointed and spacious-we had a junior suite with a garden view and just beyond you could see the bay of Pampelonne. Breakfast buffet was very good with everything you could imagine and stayed open quite late. Lunch at the Terasse pool restaurant was also excellent. We did not eat at L’Acacia. The bar had good live music in the evenings. Just love this hotel. We will keep coming back.

There can’t be a finer hotel. 6-star. The views are amazing. Property is absolutely beautiful. Service…off the charts. Food is incredible. This place is honestly a joke. We are in love. Having a hard time time leaving for Lame Como! :). Stay here and you’ll fall in love. And Saint Tropez is one of the funnest places we’ve ever been. Le Quai in old town is a must for nightlife. Le Cafe was a great dinner spot. But honestly, you don’t need to leave the hotel if you don’t want. Three restaurants.

We used to stay here very often before the management changed, many things changed but we still like very much the pool here and although the pool's restaurant was much better before, we still appriciate the hotel's shuttle that takes to St Tropez and to it's great restaurants, this avoid us to have to take the car each time we want to go out, thank you for everything.

If planning a visit to the Saint-Tropez region,this is definitely the hotel to choose.It's a kingdom of serenity,you can hear the scilence in the beautiful garden,only birds sing now and then.The rooms are beautiful.The personnel-professionals every one of them.It's great they offer free shuttle 24 hours to Tropezina beach and centre of St Tropez,and that on demand,not fixed hours.Pool area very pleasant And yet,I was very happy to leave the region this morning. I never for a minute understood why is St Tropez so famous,why a cocktail should cost 25 euro,what is all the noise about.I've been to many much more picturesque places in the Mediterranean.Sure by keeping prices high like this you block the access of certain kind of people.But I really prefer a more lively crowd.

We spent two nights with my wife and friends last May at La Messardière. First thing to notice: it was 9pm when we took the decision to come and after 4,5 hours driving we arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night. The staff was waiting for us, welcomed us with smiles and kindness despite the late hour. The best occured when we woke up and saw the AMAZING view from the breakfast terrasse of the hotel (cf pictures). We were breathless! Everything else is positive about la Messardière: the rooms are beautiful, the food is great, the spa is fantastic and there is a minibus which brings you (and brings you back) to the center of St-Tropez. Very nice when you know how hard it is to park your car there... Well done, you deserved your Palace title!

This is our third trip to St. Tropez and Messardiere. We still love this hotel. What we love about it is: 1. The location, being just a couple minutes away from the town. 2. The 24 hour hotel shuttle. 3. The beautiful pool which has a very quiet, relaxed, sophisticated vibe. 4. The prestige rooms with the huge seaview terraces. 5. The view while having breakfast on the restaurant's terrace. 6. Location again - just 10 minutes from Pampelonne Beach or 5 minutes from Tahiti Beach. 7. Pool again - sunloungers always available. We will DEFINITELY be back again!

I was thrilled with my stay at the Messardiere. This was my first visit to St. Tropez and I was vacationing with a guy I was dating at the time. We were please with our accommodations. The Entire property was impressive. The architecture and grounds were stunning, as were the views. The staff was more or less very pleasant. The Hotel as a whole was Luxe and treated the guests well. Its a bit removed from everything else in St. Tropez, but between the shuttle and taxis, its very easy to get around. We were there before the high season, so things were a bit quiet, which was fine with us. It turned out to be a very peaceful and romantic getaway. We took some nice long walks in the area, and the neighborhood is very charming. St. Tropez is quite lovely, although pricey. And frankly I think its become a little too trendy... But Still, if you're going to come here and aren't staying on a Yacht or right in town, I highly recommend this hotel for a 5-star experience a little removed from the chaos.

Loved our stay at the Chateau de la Messardiere. The property is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful views. Not easy to walk to from downtown St. Tropez but the hotel has shuttles on demand. Service is impeccable and the food excellent. We were there for a wedding and it was magical. Our room/suite was large with an expansive terrace overlooking one of the pools. Layout was perfect and amenities super luxurious. I do feel however that the rooms need to be updated. But overall highly recommend.
