Le Château Réal

We just spent 3 weeks in France and Spain. and Chateau Real was the highlight of our trip. The Chateau is a beautiful old house that has been restored to its current modern state. Our room looked very modern as if it had been renovated in the last year or so. The grounds and the pool are so nice to relax in after a day of touring around Bordeaux. And Kelly & Elian could not have been nicer hosts. The breakfast was amazing every day. We had to leave early one day, and thought we would have to forgo breakfast, but Kelly let us know that the croissants were almost out of the oven if we could just stay a couple more minutes. They bake their own croissants. And they were delicious.

We had an amazing time at chateau Real. The chateau has been completed to a very high standard. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. We had the charcuterie board on arrival which was magnificent. Our suite was big as was the bed and very comfortable. We couldn’t fault our stay at all, we would definitely return

Six of us stayed here for 3 days in May. What a great experience! Kelly was the consummate hostess. She arranged restaurant reservations, recommended wineries for us to visit. We really could not have asked for a better hostess. The propery is so lovely. Make sure to read the book about the renovation - such a labor of love! Breakfast every day was delicious - those croissants! The coffee! The fresh squeezed juice! One evening, after a long day of wine tasting, Kelly made us some charcuterie boards. They were delicious and she was able to accomodate the vegetarian which we really appreciated. Each of us loved our rooms. One couple stayed in the "Mister Real Suite" which was so lovely and had a great view of the vineyards. But, there were a lot of stairs to this room which was not necessarily a problem unless you have an issue with stairs (once you enter the room, there is a flight of stairs to get to the actual room and then a couple of stairs to get to the bedroom area). Each of us would love to stay here again!

5 Star and down to earth chateaux that feels like home. Nestled on the edge of a charming walkable village and amongst vineyards and beautiful skies. Relaxing, quiet, and the best care from the owners Kelly & Elian! They have transformed the old chateuax into an enchanting reprise inside the house and the beautiful gardens surrounding a zen pool💟. We stayed for a few nights and toured the area with our young son and always looked forward to returning to the chateaux. Fabulous breakfast too! Everything perfect. Would return in a heartbeat. We stayed in a beautiful spacious corner room, enjoyed the great mixture of original and renovated interior and the most inviting garden-area with pool, deckchairs and nature intertwined. Jogging between the vines in early morning with scheduled breakfast afterwards made our day. Highly recommended

Lovely stay at Chateau Real. A small property run by a young couple. Our group was well taken care of. The building is historic but the interior was recently renovated. Rooms are large and well appointed, and the pool area is lovely. The location is fantastic, as you are right in the middle of the vineyards of the Haut Médoc with easy access to St Estephe by bike (which the hotel offers for rental). Highly recommend as play to stay to visit vineyards, or just relax.
