Nice stay in a beautiful little mountain town

Negatives: When I booked I didn't realise that the restaurant was closed. We therefore asked to stay only one night but you wouldn't refund the second night. There were only two restaurants open in the town! It was a very nice pizza restaurant but the next night it was closed and only ONE place was open in the whole town which we didn't like the look of. The Hotel refused to give us plates and cutlery to eat the food we bought in town in our room. (The next hotel we went to also had great reviews for the restaurant but we didn't know that was closed in the evening out of season; they were incredibly helpful and gave us plates and cutlery etc. and let us take our wine glasses up to the room, very good in comparison!) The room was basic considering we had paid for a better room, the bedside tables were upholstered therefore not good for putting a glass on. The view from the balcony was of a very untidy storage area. One of the chairs was broken, we swapped it with one from the next balcony. The rooms and corridors smelt despite air fresheners absolutely everywhere. The lounge was full of furniture and boxes from the kitchen dining area as a refurbishment was underway. Positives: The staff were nice. Breakfast was good.

Bed and pillows were super comfortable, loved the door open for sleeping with a lovely breeze. Everyone who worked there was extremely helpful. Breakfast wasn’t really good value for us, the local patisserie was much better. Would certainly love to see this town in winter over our summer experience.
