The desk staff didn’t know what they were doing. The person in charge of the breakfast area had to be asked to wipe off tables, trash was over flowing and surfaces weren’t clean. The hall floors hadn’t had deep cleaned and were filthy as was the elevator and the carpets were stained, showed wear and turned our socks black. There was black mold in the bathroom, no place to hang towels/hand towel and only one trash can. The freezer was almost solid with frost. It was not worth the money and we will mot recommend it to anyone.

The breakfast was good, and the room was fairly comfortable. The beds and pillows were both clean and soft, and the AC kept the room nice and cold. There were a few candy wrappers behind the nightstand though, and the drain in the sink didn't work right so the sink would fill up and take a long time to drain, unless you were willing to dip your fingers in nasty toothpaste water.

Frontdesk girl “tara” was very friendly and helpful during my stay at the motel . She made check-in easy and answered all my questions with smile.overall,she provided great customer service and made me feel welcome.her positive attitude stood out.

Wow. Just wow. Hallways are dated, dirty. Rooms need painting. Pool was closed. Pullout bed had what looks like bed bug stains on it. First hotel in years to not have bed bug covers on the mattresses. Carpets worn. If you have a choice stay away or wait till they renovate. As it is this hotel is not up to the quality standard.

Not a good experience. The entrance drive way is more of a collection of pot holes than asphalt which should have been a clue. Eggs run out during breakfast and food area was very dirty and the attendant was too busy on her phone to care. Message light was on in the room and front desk told me to just unplug the phone. The card swipe on the read door was damaged beyond repair. Pool was not working and overall housekeeping is not good. Front desk person does not enjoy his work and the level of customer service is very poor. Rooms are hard to get with the Chiefs starting training camp in town this week but avoid this hotel until there are new owners. The current owners have no pride in ownership.

The worst Quality Inn I have ever stayed in. The room was musty, the door lock needed fixing and the tv had only one channel. I was told nothing could be done until the next day until the manager was there and by that time I would be checked out. In addition the breakfast was cold.

This is the worst hotel experience we have ever had. Reservation was made and paid for about 2 weeks before we got there. On the day of arrival I checked in about 3pm and after I got our things into the room I left to go visit with local family. When we got back that evening we were locked out of our room. I went to the front desk to see why. The man there said i needed to pay him a dollar. I ask why i needed to do that since i paid in full when i made the reservation. He started to tell me why but I could not understand him at all because of his strong accent. As for the hotel itself: it was dark, damp, smelled moldy/musty and the carpet in the hallway smelled bad and looked dirty and the ceiling was leaking. The people who own or run the place were very rude. Never again would I stay there even if they paid me to!

The Quality brand has no quality control. We don’t expect luxury when we stay at one but this one was in need of maintenance and a staff that cared. Breakfast was sketchy. Very different than the Quality Inn we stayed at in Mountain Home. No pride in ownership or place of employment.

We left our room. It was dirty, bedding had stains of some sort on several areas on top cover and sheet did not look like a freshly laundered sheet. The room was dark, smelled musty. This was the third choice hotel we booked in the last two weeks of our cross country trip. We walked out of this one and lost our room fee, we stayed in one for four days in Salt Lake City but it was not good either. It was a bit better than this one. We loved the one we stayed at in Moab, Utah. It was awesome. Two out of three is not a good sign. I think we may rethink our loyalty programs going forward.

We booked this hotel for our family of 5. After a 15 hour drive we arrived at the hotel to find out they do not allow 5 people to stay in a 6 person suite. When we asked to talk to the manager we were told we could call her the next day. We were not offered another room or anything. They also did not refund our money. I have spent the last week trying to get my money back from a hotel I was not allowed to stay at even though it allowed us to book a room. I am also upset that the manager knew this and did not bother to reach out to us to let us know that we would need to make other accommodations. So we not only have not gotten our money back from this hotel but the management would not even talk to us it was 6pm when we got to the hotel. I am very disappointed in choice hotels. The fact that we were told that there was pretty much nothing the hotel could do was so frustrating. They also told us the manager had no control of the website and had no way of changing the online booking system for their hotel. I am thankful for the holiday inn down the road and how awesome they were to us when we arrived looking for a room. If you want a place to stay in St. Joeseph I would say stay away from this one.

At check in, the lady was utterly delightful. Polite and assisted with local food suggestions. Here for 4 nights for business, the room got worse each night. The first night was the neighbors. Nothing the hotel can do about that, so I digress. The wallpaper is peeling, the tile in the bathroom appears to have been pushed out by the colony of bugs that reside in the walls. I don't know what kind of bugs they were, but they weren't afraid of the lights being in, and would join you as you use the restroom . The bed is moderate, but the pillows are a joke. The 4 pillows on the king size bed, were about the size of couch accent pillows, 2 of which were mildly comfortable, while the other 2 had lost their usefulness a decade ago. Breakfast is decent, a wife variety of .. well.. sausage and eggs . And over watered orange juice. The apple juice has probably been broken as long as the pool. Using hotels for 16 nights or more a month, you get tired of hotels not providing the amenities they list, yet charging the same prices, and blaming everything on someone else, or something else, instead of just owning the fact they don't have to repair it, everyone still pays the same,and they have less to pay to maintain. Might not be the same excuse at this particular hotel, but it's the common theme. Travelers vote with their money. I won't return, and hope that my review saves a few others from the same feeling of grime that I got from the property and lack of maintenance and upkeep.

This place was a dump. Something happened here. Everything was damp, and the smell of mold permeated everything. The Pool had water that had a green tinge to it, and it if was chlorinated you wouldn't know; the mold smell was so bad. The ceiling was all black mold, the hall carpets were moldy. Seriously a health hazard. While we were there workers were ripping off the roof. You don't leave a hotel open while you are doing that kind of work. Front desk did NOT know what the business center was, when I went to complain about it. It was an empty nook with wires hanging out of the wall. The desk clerk kept repeating 'business center? what's that, we don't have that?' I said, well you should take a look because it has name plate of Business Center 2 doors down from here! Seriously if you are in St. Joseph, go to the Hampton.

My first issue was blood on the shower curtain (photo included). I noticed in the morning as I went in to shower. I had to hurry and leave for meetings, but couldn’t say anything to the front desk as I left because they were not around. In between meetings I called 8 times to let them know about the blood on the shower curtain, but they didn’t answer the phone once. When I got back that night the front desk girl was arguing with a customer on the phone about other issues. After many attempts to get it taken care of, they simply failed. I tried looking for other rooms, but everything in St Joseph was booked for a tournament. I was there three nights, and had issues with the keycard each night. I’ve stayed in worse places , but only one other was in the US. The others were in 3rd world countries. Find something else.
