Westhill Country Hotel

Just back from Jersey after a four day break at the Westhill country Hotel for the second time !! The staff at the hotel could not have been more accommodating !! The rooms were spotlessly clean and serviced daily !! We had wonderful Breakfasts cooked to order and perfection with a large varied choice!! We also had a three course dinner served by the wonderful staff !! We had a large family group of grown up adults with Grand-kids varying in age from fifteen to ten years!! They had an amazing time in the pools and gardens and spent hours late into the night swimming and in the Jacuzzi !! The music at night by lovely Annette was fantastic And another singer also added a great touch to our stay. Thank you Annette and Lisa for your help re sorting out our booking requests etc !! Thanks to every one of the staff who made our stay soo memorable!!

This hotel caters for a very specific clientele and that feels like repeat visits from people over the age of 65. Our room was tired and dated but clean. On the weekend we stayed there was an MG car convention and the hotel was definitely geared up for them and not the handful of other guests that were there. On 2 of the nights we wanted to have hot bar food but this wasn’t available. This resulted in our Sunday evening meal being sandwiches. The restaurant lacked atmosphere and identity. One night we had to eat in the restaurant as there was no other food from the bar available and there was a radio on playing very up to date retro funk music. Not in keeping with the maitre de in his formal black suit and tie and accompaniments being served from silver service boats by the waiters. The service was actually too fast, with our entire meal being ordered, eaten and cleared in around half an hour. Breakfast was definitely a better experience. There was plenty of choice and it was well cooked. It’s a pity that there wasn’t an option to sit outside as the restaurant felt very hot and stuffy. The weather was amazing but windows and doors seemed to remain shut. On the plus side the staff were very friendly and the grounds and swimming pool were absolutely lovely. I’m afraid that none of our party of 3 would recommend or return to this hotel.

My wife and I stayed a week, The food and service you couldn't get better, the staff were very helpful, nice clean Hotel, the gardens very nice. The bad bits are that you can hear every sound coming from the rooms above and around the room you're staying in, also the fire alarm kept going off for no other reason then one of the guest smoking in there room, ( no joke at 2.30 am ) but I did hear that the Hotel is going to be sold so maybe that's why nothing is being done about the bad bits, but over all it was okay.

Just this minute checked out. We've had one of the best holidays ever. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are the best. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Great entertainment too. Thanks to every one of you. Jersey is more beautiful than we ever imagined, every bend you go round it's just wow! Would recommend the Cafe Bar in St Helier for food and drink and if you like Thai food go to Park House in St Helier. The food was beautiful. Room 41

My husband and I booked this hotel through Condor Ferries for a getaway break. We found that the staff were very friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in from the time the ferry arrived. Instructions to the property were good and signposted. All staff were friendly and helpful, and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. All food was a very good standard from the first outside lunch, breakfast and bar food, which came well presented and promptly. The location and grounds were very good.

We have been guests at the Westhill for over twenty years..The standard is superb. Staff extremely kind and helpfull. Excellent choice of food for breakfast and evening meal The gardens are excellent Swimming pool ideal for any ages of guests

We had the best stay at this hotel.It was quiet, little out of town, but there was a courtesy bus . It was 3 star but more like 4 or 5 without the pomp.A lovely pool and the food was very good quality. The staff couldn't do enough for you. I would recommend anyone who wants peace and quiet to stay here. Not very suitable for children.

The Hotel has a Good Size Car Park, is Very Clean with Very Comfortable Good Size Rooms which have lovely views of the grounds! All the Staff are Very Friendly including the Owner & nothing is too much trouble! The Food is Excellent & a Good Menu Choice for both Breakfast & Evening Meals. The Maitre D' is Excellent & if I had to pick a Waiter who gave the Best Service it would have to be Carlos! He knew how to take Food orders for a large party quickly by getting guests to stick their hands up for certain dishes! The hotel Shuttle bus to St Helier works well too. Hopefully we will be back again soon!!

Just home from a 4 night stay at Westhill Country Hotel and have nothing but praise for this hotel. Staff and service were excellent, room was serviced to a very high standard whilst we were enjoying breakfast each morning!! Everywhere was immaculately clean. Food was good. The garden and pool area are lovely although we didn't get much time to enjoy them. Entertainment on the Friday evening was provided by a member of staff and was fantastic!!!! Courtesy bus to the town was a great bonus as hotel is a little bit out of town. Would definitely return to this hotel if we visit jersey again, which I really hope we are able to do.
