St Michael's Manor Hotel - St Albans

What a fabulous place to stay ! A wonderful location, right in the middle of the beautiful old part of St Albans. Gorgeous gardens and , so pretty at this time of year. Plenty of parking . A lovely warm welcome from the reception team and we were blown away when we saw our four poster room . Our dinner was delicious, especially the beef which melted in the mouth. Lovely service in the elegant dining room. We had a great nights sleep. The breakfast buffet was amazing as was the cooked breakfast. We really enjoyed our special stay at St Michaels Manor, highly recommended.

We visited St Michaels Manor yesterday and had booked for lunch. We arrived early so had coffee in the lovely bar/lounge area first then took a walk into St Albans. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating from booking to leaving. The grounds are beautiful, the setting peaceful and beautiful. The hotel itself has a lot of history and this is maintained in the current decor but updated to modern standards. The views from the restaurant to the lake and gardens are wonderful. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The food was excellent and served well. We were made to feel that our custom was valued and would definitely return here again when in the area.

We visited the manor to try the afternoon tea, and we enjoyed our time there very well. The servers were extremely friendly and hospitable and the quality of food was excellen. Two servers in particular stood out to us, Nisha and Hepy, for their warm welcome and kindness.

I visited the hotel for breakfast, followed by a walk round the lovely garden, and into St Albans (which has a great town centre, just a few minutes walk away). Service was excellent (thanks to Hepy and Ritu, and the lady on reception). Food was nice, and overall it was a good value visit.

We enjoyed the NYE dinner,cabaret and disco and stayed overnight. The whole experience was thoroughly enjoyable, good value for money and of an excellent standard. The room we were allocated was large, comfortable and had both a walk-in shower as well as a bath. The only downside to the hotel is its lack of a lift for those with mobility issues.

I took my elderly mum for afternoon tea for her Christmas presant. This was a lovely way for her to spend time with the family. The waiting staff were lovely especially Hepy who was very attentive, kind and patient to my Mum. The food was lovely but it was the relaxed atmosphere we enjoyed the most.
