Invisible Forest Lodge

We had a very mixed stay here in February 2025 in one of the Aurora Huts for 1 night. We arrived early but had paid €60 to check in from 2pm to make the most of our stay. On arrival, it was difficult to see where the entrance to the reception area was and at the side of the main building there just seemed to be lots of items dumped outside. Not a very welcoming sight. We were told our room was ready at 2pm and proceeded to walk to the hut, only to be chased up by a member of staff to tell us the room wasn't ready and to go back to reception - not a good start. After this issue we were allocated another hut. The hut is very small but we had been warned about this in the booking process so it wasn't too much of a surprise. There is a little sink and toilet and we used the showers the following morning in the main area of the resort which worked well. The hut was really cosy and looked out onto the snowy area, we really loved it. We used the hot tub but it really was so cold when we got out the warm water. We really enjoyed the hut but for us, 1 night was ample. The restaurant was a real disappointment for us unfortunately. There was a large party there celebrating a birthday and I think as a consequence, several of the limited menu options weren't available which was really disappointing. This related to the main and dessert courses. The food we ate was nice but very expensive for what it was. Service was attentive. We wanted to retire to the lounge area next to the restaurant but this was really difficult. The birthday party group were all sat there and it was very difficult for us to sit where we wanted to and we felt slightly awkward. However, the bar tender was very attentive and mixed up some lovely cocktails. It was disappointing not to be able to relax after dinner when we had spent a lot of money to stay at the resort. I appreciate the restaurant taking external reservations but there needs to be some sort of guarantee that resort guests can use the facilities. If we had wanted to use the sauna it would have been very difficult with the party all sat outside in a very large group. Breakfast in the restaurant was nice enough. Not wow factor for the price we paid but acceptable. Overall, we really enjoyed the novelty of the igloo hut and the surroundings around it. However, the whole experience including the restaurant was very underwhelming for the price we paid.

Just back from spending 7 nights in an Invisible Suite - it was fabulous. The views from the 'cube' out through the forest have to be seen to be believed, wonderful. The individual mirror cubes are scattered along a walkway in the forest and whilst close to each other you still have total privacy, even when in your private hot tub. The 'cube' itself is a good size and comes with a fully equipped kitchen. The one thing that was lacking which previous reviewers have mentioned is storage. It's ok when there are just 2 of you as you can put your clothes on the sofa but if the sofa is being used as a sofa bed there is no where. The staff are all super friendly and are eager to make changes as they learn about this new property, to improve things for guests. Namely, we were on half board and for 7 nights the menu is very limited (salmon, reindeer, chicken curry, lentil curry) and doesn't change - a word to the chef the night before and they cooked us something different. Perhaps a daily special would be a good idea. The bathrobe dinners were popular as were people coming to use the main sauna and hot tubs - but personally I dont was to eat my evening meal next to people just with a towel on (not even a dressing gown), equally on one night whilst sitting round the fire enjoying a pre dinner drink I got up and discovered my trousers were wet as somebody had obviously come from the hot tub and sat down on the chairs. I would suggest either making a separate relaxing area or getting non fabric chairs. The property is going over 18's only during the winter next year which I think will enhance the experience. Overall it's a beautiful property which I wouldn't hestitate to recommend as it stands but with a few changes it can become the best of the best!

The reception/spa/restaurant areas were clean and well-appointed in the modern Scandinavian way. The food was phenomenal! The igloo was a tight fit, but extremely cozy and equipped well with plenty of modern amenities. The staff was most impressive. Carlos absolutely rocked, chef Mauro was amazing, and Ioanna at reception was great! Those were just the ones we met directly, everyone was else seemed dutiful, cheery, and wholly competent. Good job all around!

The concept of spa & dinner is excellent. Hot stone is definitely my favourite. For us is very important to have quite romantic adult time. The surroundings are so peaceful and beautiful. Nature, starts, good food and wine, what else do you need 😍

Finally my dream came true. I met Santa on Christmas Eve , and saw some nice Auroras. I will never forget that experience. The only minus was the limited light outside, but I assume this is planned for the Northern Lights. The team is international so you might your own language in the premises.

Very poorly managed establishment. Lots of word to do to make it 5 star experience hotel. No attention to detail , not welcoming . Over priced for what it is, hyped by payed instagramers whilist you’re not getting what you pay for . Dinning igloo experience $1000 completely delusional
