Hotel Best Roquetas

Fair hotel, clean, childfriendly, i would recommend going if you are looking for some peace, the hotel is not too crowded specially with foreign tourists. Its very well located at the beach and plenty of stores and shops around it.

We came back from a fantastic two weeks at the Best Roquetas hotel last Saturday and I wanted to leave an honest review of the hotel after reading quite a few negative ones on here! Reception staff: The reception staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful. All of them speak English and are happy to help out at all times. We had a problem whilst there when my daughter’s nighttime elephant toy went missing from our room (accidentally taken away with the dirty sheets!) and the staff at reception could not have been more helpful. It took two days (of sleepless nights sadly for my daughter and ourselves) but they eventually managed to get her back from the off-site laundry. My daughter was over the moon! Thank you so much to the staff who helped who realised just how important this toy was to my daughter. Bar: The bar staff are plentiful and though queues are long at the evening entertainment they all worked very hard and all spoke English well. The selection of drinks available on the all inclusive is quite extensive and not just the normal cheap “local” spirits either. We got Absolute Vodka, Gordons Gin and branded Malibu and Baileys included which we thought was fantastic! I have added some pictures of the bar menu – please note that although it says the cocktails are extra they are actually included on the all inclusive (except Aperol Spritz). They also had a good selection of ice creams and ice lollies on the all inclusive available. Entertainment: There were a lot of entertainers around (more than any other hotel I have been to!) and they were all very friendly and encouraging people to join in. Again they all spoke English as well as many other languages. There was a mini disco every night at 9:30pm which my youngest daughter enjoyed and was run by a group of the animation team who genuinely seemed to enjoy what they were doing. I have been to so many other hotels where the entertainment team did not interact much with the kids but this was not the case here. There was no one yelling at the kids to keep them off the stage like in many other resorts! The only downfall to the evening entertainment program was that it repeated itself every week meaning that guest staying longer than a week either had to watch the same thing twice or find something else to entertain themselves with. Plus some of the acts were pretty awful! Just wanted to add here that the entertainment staff made every effort to speak in Spanish, French and English (and I think Czech?) at all times. I have seen a lot of reviews saying that all of the entertainment was just in Spanish but this was not the case while we were there. Pool: When we booked the hotel I was concerned at how many rooms the hotel had versus the size of the pool and amount of sunbeds but whilst I was there it never felt crowded. The sunbeds are available from 9am and of course people queue to get the best ones. I have to say we tended to sleep in so never managed to get there on time but there was never

What a fantastic hotel, superb spacious rooms with large balcony , food choice was excellent, themed nights in the restaurant, plenty of sunbeds around the pool and amazing staff to help with any concerns. Would highly recommend staying here, direct access to the amazing beach via a gate at the rear of the pool area, just swipe yourself in and out, mini golf , chess and table tennis available too

We stayed here in June friendly staff clean hotel has everything the hotel on the beach ,food was very good lots of choices ,from fish ,prawns crabs salad stew beef chicken curry spaghetti pizza pork knuckle wok kitchen ,pancakes lists goes on and on cannot get bored with the food everyday different dishes ,one of the best places I’ve stayed that’s had food this good .normally after a few days eating out .highly recommend great location bars local see my videos of the hotel and areas on YouTube paradiseworldvideos …..you cannot go wrong with this hotel .

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Best Roquetas. The location right at the beach was perfect and made it so easy to relax. The buffet was excellent, with a different theme every night that kept things fun and delicious. The staff were always friendly and did everything they could to make us feel welcome. For what we got, the price was absolutely fair, and we left with great memories of our holiday.

We were very worried when we read some of the more recent reviews of the hotel as they’d changed a lot since we booked. We needn’t have been concerned. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the kids club was running twice a day and the food (whilst yes very Spanish - we are in Spain!) was plentiful and the kids never struggled to find something to eat. The location was right on the beach )it isn’t sandy though so be warned) and we had a lovely large room overlooking the pool and beach. We stayed for 14 days and everything does repeat after 7 so keep that in mind. There was easy cheap transport into Almeria on the local air conditioned bus which made the trip really pleasant. The airport is 30 minutes away so transfers are a breeze. Had a lovely day out at Oasys mini Hollywood well worth a trip although it’s very hot! Staff were lovely and there’s free table tennis and mini golf for a €10 returnable deposit. Hotel shop was as cheap as anywhere and there was a massive spar down the road. All in all we had a lovely relaxed holiday but don’t come if you’re expecting everything to be in English as it’s not that type of resort.
