Hotel Best Sabinal

Nice hotel next to the beach. Good food and drinks. Also it was close to the bus stop, so we went to see the city and historical places during our vacation.

Just returned from the Sabinal,read the reviews and we were looking forward to our time there. Check in was easy and quick.The room comes with free Air Con,Safe and fridge,big comfortable beds, free toiletries in the bathroom room cleaned every day,towels changed most days. Food. As has been said in other reviews, the food is quite plentiful and varied but a lot of the meats are undercooked, tough and not very hot, my Wife had a Burger one night which was pink inside. Evening meal times are 19:30 to 22:30 which I think should be altered to 18:30 to 21:30 Pool. There are two pools, one rectangular in shape with a gentle slope to enter,the other is a Kiddies adventure pool, One thing to note is that Spanish school Holidays are from mid June until mid September,and being a Spanish orientated Hotel it was overrun with them,with parents taking young children and babies in nappies into the big pool,which I think is unhygienic, children under two should be in the kiddies pool. Big Shout out to Carolina the pool attendant who spoke great English and was very pleasant to talk to. On arrival you are given a wristband on which you can charge food and drink and operates the electronic lock on the room door, - one evening someone entered our room while we were in using their wristband I highlighted this to Reception who said I could not have closed my door properly as this can’t happen,on investigation it was found to be person from a room two doors away that had done it,I am still waiting for feedback on this. Beach. The local Beach is not vey good,being mainly Gravel/very small stones,take beach shoes with you. There are a few bars/ restaurants in the area but a lot of the staff struggle with English,so very basic Spanish would be a help. All in all a good time at the Hotel,but the room door security was a let down. Would I recommend this Hotel …….yes Would I stay here again……………….yes ,but be wary is Spanish school holidays.

Rooms were nice and airy. Clean. Plenty of towels! Buffet for breakfast and dinner was excellent ,a huge variety that would suit every patron. Staff very friendly and helpful! Also,during the power outage they moved my Mum from the 5th floor to the first floor as no elevators were working. Only down side was that their generators weren't operational during the power outage! Having said that,there was still plenty of food at dinner!

We had a lovely week at this hotel. Our room was great and exactly what we’d booked with a sea view,balcony,air Con and a fridge. The whole hotel was very clean and house keeping are wonderful. All Staff were very polite and with very well spoken English on reception. We only had one issue which was a blocked sink which was sorted straight away. We went room only and had a bit of an issue finding a decent restaurant/Spanish food. (Unable to comment on the hotel restaurant) We did find one place which had fantastic staff, very clean and very good food which was called “BOULEVARD NELLY” (blue canopy). If you use the beach gate and turn right it’s only 100m away from the hotel. The other restaurants weren’t so good. If you like a full English breakfast like I do it’s perfect. This was the Best breakfast I’ve ever had in Spain using back bacon and proper sausages. Also recommend the seafood paella too. Going back to the Hotel the only minor thing we will say is there isn’t enough brollies to go around in the pool area with many of the existing ones being broken. Also the same selfish people grabbing multiple brollies and saving beds at 7-8am and not returning until late afternoon but that is an issue with the people and not the hotel. Overall it was a lovely,reasonably priced break.

Positive:service and food in main restaurant. And the excellent cleaning staff.Negative: the lack of all personnel's ability to speak English and/or even try to . I am not saying they have to be fluent but you should be able to expect the basics. That foremost goes for the nightly entertainment. I the 15 days we have been here: 1 word of Englisg.. goodnight. And when we were there i think 30% of guests were foreigners. How can you participate with animation team when they only speak Spanish?

Thank you ! for a lovely break in great hotel we had a lovely family stay. The food was excellent and of great variety. Breakfast dinner and lunch were all outstanding with themed nights - the gala dinner was the best. We were a large group of 11 and due to the size of the hotel they coped with all our needs easily. The staff are all excellent friendly and always happy to help. The kitchen staff work so hard and the lady on the omelettes does an excellent job. With the beach being so close to the hotel we were able to stroll over in the mornings and call back to the hotel from a drink at our leisure. My only niggle was the absence of a smart TV as this would have allowed us to relax more in the evenings with the kids as there were only 2 channels available in English . We cannot wait to return next year and we had a great time .
